REQUIRED SKILL SET Technical Functional Architect in VMware Horizon-based Desktop and Application virtualization, Client-server architecture, Workspace aggregation. Expert in Cloud computing, Server virtualization, User Experience tools, Unified Endpoint management tools, End- point security & Networking Solution Architect Extensive Knowledge of virtualization Technologies Technical writing (Design Document) Customer handling skills Deep understanding of BAU frameworks Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written) ROLE DESCRIPTION 1. Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design robust VMware Horizon VDI solutions that leverage Azure IaaS resources. 2. Architecture: Develop architectural designs and blueprints for VMware Horizon environments with a strong focus on Azure IaaS components, ensuring scalability, redundancy, and cost-effectiveness. 3. Azure Integration: Integrate VMware Horizon with Azure IaaS, leveraging Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Azure Active Directory, and other Azure services as needed. 4. Deployment: Lead the implementation and deployment of VMware Horizon solutions, coordinating the setup of virtual desktops, application provisioning, and Azure resource provisioning. 5. Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the VMware Horizon environment and Azure resources to ensure high performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. 6. Security: Implement and enforce security best practices for both VMware Horizon and Azure resources to protect virtual desktops, applications, and data. 7. Hybrid Cloud Strategy: Develop and execute a hybrid cloud strategy that leverages both on- premises and Azure resources for VMware Horizon deployments. 8. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to VMware Horizon and Azure IaaS, providing timely support to end-users and IT teams. 9. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, policies, and procedures for VMware Horizon and Azure environments. 10. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including network, storage, and security teams, to ensure seamless integration of VMware Horizon with Azure IaaS and on-premises infrastructure. 11. Vendor Management: Evaluate and recommend third-party tools and technologies to enhance VMware Horizon and Azure capabilities. 12. Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and mentorship to junior team members and share expertise with the broader IT department.
