The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

This is a role within the FinOps Intelligent Automation and AI team, based out of India (within GFS). The team provides intelligent and agile technical solutions to enable FinOps, GFS and GCFO leadership teams to deliver on efficiency, process optimization and risk reduction goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and deliver solutions BoW for FinOps, GFS / GCFO driving solution identification, development and adoption.
  • The delivery initiatives include optimizing and digitizing FinOps, GFS / GCFO processes and enable relevant insights.
  • Partner with relevant tech teams to stabilize solutions.
  • Act as the \xe2\x80\x9cgo-to\xe2\x80\x9d person for all core initiatives in FinOps, GFS / GCFO per assigned BoW.
  • Continuously review delivery mechanism to identify opportunities for efficient / effective delivery.
  • Constantly challenge Technology to bring in optimisation in processes.
  • Support and drive further the digitisation agenda, including streamlining manual processes whilst ensuring key stakeholder requirements are covered.
  • Synch up with ASPIRE teams to understand the landing solutions and build enabling last mile solutions.
  • Manage a high-performing team to deliver change agenda and culture through clear objectives, regular engagements in driving improvement, automation and analytics mindset.
Strategy
  • Constantly review and challenge status quo on operating model and focus on building the automation BoW through efficient and effective delivery.
  • Define / continuously evaluate the operating model in an agile fashion to manage delivery.
  • Recommend adoption of future tech / AI / low code; no-code solutions.
Business
  • Interact with the process team to understand the requirement.
  • Considering available tech-stack provide right solution to solve business problem.
  • Ensure all business requirements are documented as per agreed standard with sign offs.
  • Ensure projects are delivered as per requirements and agreed timelines.
Processes
  • Review operating model within team to ensure compliance to Standard Chartered requirements and ensure continuous improvement to deliver efficiency.
People and Talent
  • Manage teams aligned to the role.
Risk Management
  • Ownership of all operational risks aligned to the role.

  • Aligned to Standard Chartered Governance standards.

Key Stakeholders

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 15 years of experience in banking / financial services or a related industry sector.
  • 5 years experience with Automation technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Analytics, BI Tool like Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy; Java, C++, SQL, Python / R, NoCode / LowCode.
  • Ability to work well with business analysts, developers, vendors and end-users in cross functional teams.
  • Strong Communication, Stake Holder Management, Programme Management skills and influencing skills.
  • A willingness to coach others, and to be coached and to constructively challenge the status quo.
  • Be a change agent promoting an automation culture.
  • Dataiku knowledge and hands on preferred.
  • Excellent with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in managing team.
Role Specific Technical Competencies

The role is multifaceted and dynamic with primary responsibility to drive implementation of the digital solutions agenda (Intelligent Automation, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence) across the Business and Operations, requiring ongoing partnership with multiple parties across the organization
  • Be a strong people influencer and program manager, to deliver proof of concepts and execute on incubation ideas, that will span across lines of businesses and locations, while ensuring adherence to governance and controls.
  • Represent the CoE in various forums (Centre of Excellence, Innovation Council, Working Groups, etc.) to share best practices, accelerate adoption of latest technology and simplify governance.
  • Understand and worked on the niche methodologies of Data analytics, Artificial Intelligence, ML and Algorithms, thus delivering the Digital solutions on process improvements.
  • Coordinate sign-off approvals by business to certify successful results of milestone deliverable or phase completion, including program development and deployment
  • Work through business unit leaders and IT Leadership team to define, design, configure, test, deploy and integrate new, modified, and / or enhanced automation.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with business to identify process automation opportunities, provide solutions and resolve challenges.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with business to build, support and manage automations across a varied landscape of capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with GPOs to set Automation Strategy and provide technical perspectives in formulating future automation plans.
  • Oversee Automation project plans, manage deadlines and dependencies and coordinate Automation IT team activities.
  • Define and drive training programs to upgrade the knowledge and capability of Operations staff in digital automation.
  • Implement and monitor automation development and security standards and ensure adherence to such standards.
  • Identify, attract, and develop talent to strengthen the team, with a particular focus on diversity and inclusion.
  • Lead sessions for business on setting up and scaling their citizen developer program and its governance.
  • Review code for compliance and reuse and ensure code complies with IA architectural standards.
  • Must comply with security and risk protocols as directed by Bank\'s IT policies and procedures.
  • Develop plans to effectively increase awareness of digital culture across business.
