Position Purpose

Business Manager is expected to work closely with the Chief of Staff in order to build trust-based and strong working relationships with internal clients and onshore sponsors alike. The incumbent\xe2\x80\x99s primary areas of responsibility will include oversight of key Projects and Programs run in GSO. Act as a facilitator and enabler to the Chief of Staff and MD and the executive teams on a variety of transversal initiatives by coordinating: finance, strategic projects, governance meetings and communication management. The incumbent would also be expected to assist with dashboards, reporting requirements and any ad-hoc initiatives.

Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Projects:

  • Track and monitor projects of high importance & critical to the organization, including tracking to budget, effort and deliverable.
  • Have the track record and progress report in terms of onshore migrations
  • Ensure that all the attendance on transversal global meetings and documentation
  • Plan and facilitates all administrative, financial and operational activities for the MD\xe2\x80\x99s office.
  • Act as a point of contact between MD and senior management/other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in operational domain and variety of transversal topics.
  • Responsible for communication of key agendas and for ideation to help resolutions.
Follow up and coordination of Operational controls, audits and governance:
  • Work in coordination with all control functions (IG, OPC, ORC) on specific items requiring timely closure.
  • Support the management of Internal Audit (IG) inspections.
  • Ensure that the governance are reviewed, audited and minutes of all meetings are acknowledged by all attendees and the decisions taken are reviewed with the right quorum.
Cost Controls and Reports:
  • Track and manage closely GSO budgets and costs.
  • Coordinate in partnership with CAO and CFO around cost allocation
  • Suggest approaches for resolving problems of a certain level.
  • Coordinate with the GSO Head of HR the Headcount monitoring and progress on recruitment activities. Ensure that all approvals are secured as per hiring governance and complete documentation maintained for audit trail purposes.
Headcount management and reporting:
  • Ensure that the headcounts are within the agreed budget with the head office
  • Reportings are done using the templates provided by the Group
  • Ensure that the reportings are shared as per the agreed timeframe
  • Ensure and cascade the information towards the various key stakeholders
Other Responsibilities:
  • Dashboard preparation and management reporting, notably, the creation and functioning of MD\xe2\x80\x99s office.
  • Update, maintain and ensure timely review of the various Governance documents for GSO
  • Competitor Analyses and Tracking; keeping abreast of developments impacting the services being offered at GSO
  • Ad-hoc MIS reports.

Specific Qualifications (if required)
  • Has acquired 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar role, preferably with large complex financial institutions and/or well-known international banking groups.
  • Has experience in running a PMO for initiatives in a large organization.
  • Has experience of working on consulting or strategic projects.
  • Also has a expertise of operational risk
  • Has expertise on operational process flow, SOP\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Had a good understanding of conduct matters and compliance
  • Has an expertise of organizational finance and budgets.
  • Has worked in cross-functional teams.
  • Has worked on and presented materials to senior management and senior stakeholders.
