Identify projects and priorities based on emerging themes from Special projects lie LRP and guidance from the Head \xe2\x80\x93 Claims Legal on issues and opportunities for automation, integration, etc. within the department Scan internally and externally to determine areas of improvement, process lags and inefficiencies; Apply understanding of legal and technical aspects and match expectations Generate ideas and propose solutions, prepare Proof of Concepts (PoC), and test feasibility and viability of proposed solutions
Project management and review
Develop project plan with key activities, timelines, milestones, etc. for various automation projects, process development and other special projects such as young advocate empanelment Prepare project status report including any deviations and roadblocks and share with relevant stakeholders; Track the plan and deviations against set timelines and steps Refine and make amendments to the project plan across various stages and incorporate feedback/ inputs from senior management / HoD inputs Work with cross-functional teams for project execution, and with the in-house IT team/ vendor for development and production
Automation projects - Development and production
Conduct internal discussions with legal team, supervisor and apply legal domain expertise of insurance and legal to understand, analyze and document the requirements (e.g. relevant fields and information requirements for API integrations) Prepare detailed Business Rules Engine (BRE) with comprehensive coverage of all necessary rules Provide test cases, define acceptance criteria and sign-off testing plan; Coordinate with department users for UAT and sign off
Vendor management
Identify, evaluate and shortlist suitable vendor for development including aspects such as PoC evalaution, feasibility testing, proposal review, technical / commercial negotiations and assessment of vendor capabilities; Make recommendations for vendor selection to Supervisor for final decision Ensure fulfillment of legal, finance, and audit and compliance requirements for hiring of the vendors Brief the vendor for preparation of project plan, review and sign off the plan; Periodically review progress against project plans and incorporate course correction as needed; Identify project risks and mitigants Monitor and review the vendor deliverables, technical architecture and solution development to ensure deliverables are in line with expectations Explore alternate sources of development such as start-ups to ensure development objectives are met within budgets and at desired service levels
Team development
Participate in selection process to identify right talent for positions within the team Establish individual performance expectations and evaluation metrics, and regularly review individual performance Identify and create development opportunities for team members to enhance domain knowledge
