Job Title: VAT / Tax Manager - Europe Summary: The role includes the coordination of all activities relating to VAT the subject, as well as the support of the European Senior Tax Manager in the management of corporate taxes (corporate tax, trade tax, etc.). Responsibilities Include: Point of contact for multiple VAT issues in the enterprise Supervision of all audits in the field of value added tax (national and international) Direct contact for tax authorities, external advisors and Auditors Implementation of intercompany VAT training national and international Optimization of VAT relevant business processes and carry out plausibility checks Monitoring of legislative changes or changes in tax rates and maintaining the SAP system accordingly Support the European tax Manager in the operational day-to-day business (tax reporting, tax provision calculation, determination of deferred and current taxes in the US GAAP and local accounts) Representation of the European Senior Tax Manager in their absence Coordination and monitoring of the compilation of data for VAT relevant declarations using shared services in India. Creation and submission of VAT relevant declarations via KPMG tool for MPM DE, NL, BE & UK Point of contact for multiple wage tax issues and calculate flat rate wage tax taxation Qualifications: The following are for the role Bachelor\'s degree in the field of accounting, economics, tax, and law 5 - 7 years of experience in the field of European Union VAT or tax consulting/management Good SAP R 3 / ERP and MS Office skills Excellent prioritization and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a global environment Experience in working in global teams within a matrix structure Ability to work independently Quick comprehension, openness, and resilience Proactive approach to tasks and assignments Actively working on the improvement of processes and bringing own ideas and solution proposals Fluent English language skills (written and spoken) For the location Leverkusen, Germany: Fluent English and fluent German language Skills (written and spoken) What We Offer: At Momentive, we value your well-being and offer competitive total rewards and development programs.
