Job summary
Ring is looking for a proactive, high energy, take ownership Tax Manager who will be a key member of the Ring tax function and will report to the Ring Head of Tax.
As Ring continues to grow and expand, we are looking for a candidate with global tax experience who is comfortable directly liaising with various business teams within the company with an aim of gaining a deep understanding of the business vision and model in order to develop and support comprehensive tax solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of indirect and direct tax issues as well and how those can impact the business solution being articulated. The candidate will also work closely with other members of the global tax department to communicate current and future business plans, obtain cross functional tax subject matter input, and ensure coordination of cross functional tax solutions. The Tax Manager will be fully immersed within the Ring business team and support current and future Ring offerings, guidelines, and day to day questions.

Primary strategic objectives include a combination of:
  • Highly motivated, hard-working, team player able take ownership and deliver results in a fast-paced, informal, and often ambiguous environment;
  • Team with and provide guidance to the various Ring organizations including Business Development, Finance, Legal, Accounting, and various product groups;
  • Support operationalization of various tax strategies and potential changes to end-to-end tax requirements;
  • Actively participating in projects throughout their life-cycle – from planning, research, modeling, including communication of tax implications to Ring and broader management;
  • Collaborate with broader Tax teams including reporting and compliance, transfer pricing, indirect tax, and tax provision;
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of current and ongoing global and OECD tax and policy developments;
  • Monitor industry positions relevant to the global Ring business;
  • Writing technical and non-technical tax research and compliance memoranda including detailed tax requirements/guidance;
  • Manage both in-house and external tax planning and compliance teams relating to direct and indirect tax compliance deliverables;
  • Help with the review and analysis of tax requirements to support business plans and the changing landscape;
  • Develop scalable operational processes for tax compliance;

  • Detail-oriented individual who takes ownership of projects, is organized, possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and is able to deliver on tight deadlines.
  • Able to clearly and concisely interface with non-tax personnel at all levels of management.
  • Able to analyze and review statutes, regulations, and case law in the US and abroad, demand excellence from advisors, and make appropriate recommendations.
