Work you\'ll do:
You will be specifically responsible for leading and delivering internal communications for Risk and Financial Advisory (Advisory) business vertical. The Advisory business comms team supports Deloitte\'s business requirements, and your role will focus on building awareness, driving engagement, and executing campaigns. The position entails playing the role of a strategic communications advisor to various teams and senior leaders, advising and developing strategic communications and campaigns, and overseeing execution and reporting. As a communications lead, you will interact and collaborate with communications colleagues in India, the US, and across the Deloitte global network.

Job expectations:

  • Serves as the go-to person for key stakeholders and delivers innovative communication solutions
  • Establishes the brand of key influencers in the aligned vertical
  • Owns the results of campaigns; demonstrates strategic thinking across ideation and execution
  • Advises stakeholders on compliance related to branding, office events, and leadership visits
  • Demonstrates strong writing and editorial skills, including writing content for different channels and leadership voices
  • Builds strong connections with US counterparts to ensure alignment on overall priorities; cascades national/regional campaigns effectively
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of marketing content creators
  • Offers strategic guidance and helps execute efforts in leading or co-leading projects and focus area
  • Demonstrates knowledge of strategic imperatives, services/offerings, and priorities
  • Builds consensus and considers stakeholder perspective while forging and maintaining relationships
  • Actively builds a network among primary stakeholders across teams and businesses
  • Works closely with other team members to deploy and promote campaigns, internally/externally where applicable
  • Builds eminence for the Communications team capabilities internally and externally
  • Collaborates effectively and purposefully across career levels



Technical expectations:



A: Creative writing
Analyzes the audience, organizes information logically, substantiates recommendations, and creates compelling content that drives impactful business outcomes
  • Guides team members on creating compelling content for different channels and campaigns
  • Leads by example and ensures the team adheres to the Deloitte brand guidelines and the style guide
  • Displays advanced proficiency in writing for a US audience (grammar, style, and tone reflective of US nuance)
  • Independently creates/edits content for campaign and deliverables with a clear value proposition
  • Identifies opportunities to repurpose/curate content



B: Campaign conceptualization, planning, and execution
Understands the overall pulse of the campaign; initiates, plans, executes, controls, and closes the work of a team to achieve specific goals and deliver specific business outcomes
  • Provides guidance and recommendations around campaign strategy
  • Tailors strategy based on campaign or activation performance
  • Defines KPIs, benchmarks, and objectives for every campaign, and aligns plans to the same
  • Provides end-to-end oversight (conceptualization, planning, and execution)
  • Owns campaign delivery excellence by implementing controls for quality and adherence to timeliness



C: Event management
Understands the objectives of an event and then initiates, plans, and executes the event to achieve specific business outcomes
  • Provides guidance and recommendations around event strategy
  • Tailors strategy based on event brief
  • Defines KPIs, benchmarks, and objectives for every event, and aligns plans to the same
  • Provides end-to-end oversight (conceptualization, planning, and execution)
  • Owns event delivery excellence by implementing controls for quality and adherence to timeliness



D: Analytical and strategic thinking

Provides insights derived from communication performance metrics and other data systems to help management measure success, make decisions, and set objectives. Develops solution strategies and influences and motivates others to work toward an overall vision
  • Defines performance indicators (i.e. KPIs) and benchmarks to measure the impact effectively
  • Defines the road map to design, identify, and implement robust impact measurement frameworks, informed by relevant data models, KPIs, and benchmarks
  • Formulates strategy for the team across different situational needs
  • Guides team members on using data-driven decision-making concepts and tools to facilitate business performance measurement



Additional requirements:
  • In-depth understanding of audience profile and tailor-fit the needs of communications for specific groups of audience
  • Ability to work seamlessly with the larger team of talented communications professionals
  • Fosters integration and collaboration across the Communications team in US India, and the US to advance business objectives more effectively
  • Ability to measure the effectiveness of communications and support initiatives and projects that help refine the strategy based on the business impact and success.
  • Leverage social and digital communication platforms like the intranet, Microsoft Teams, Yammer, videos, and social media to help drive organizational and individual service lines\' priorities and messages.



The team

USI Communications is a team of professionals who specialize in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, and Communication Technology. The team reinforces Deloitte\'s culture and brand internally and monitors our external reputation \xe2\x80\x93 intervening where necessary. They also play a strategic and trusted business advisor for leaders and ensure that professionals are equipped with the right information promptly to excel at work and enjoy well-being. Other priorities include:
  • Creating an open and transparent environment for leadership communication and leveraging internal channels creatively.
  • Effectively disseminating information.
  • Measuring the impact of communications.


Qualifications
Required:
  • 9-12 years relevant experience in corporate communications, having been an essential part of internal communication teams in corporations or MNC\'s, including planning and playing a pivotal role in designing and executing multi-dimensional communication programs
  • Recognized experience in working on employee engagement campaigns and working closely with multiple teams to ensure smooth execution of campaigns and events
  • Extensive experience of working with senior leaders
  • Well versed with social and online media
  • Highly proficient in American English
  • Invested in teaming and collaboration
  • Mature, flexible, innovative \xe2\x80\x93 think outside the box
  • Strong project management skills and experience
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Experience in measuring the effectiveness of communications strategies and approaches
  • A graduate degree. A degree in Communications, Business, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, or English is an added advantage. A master\'s degree is preferred.


This role will be based out of Hyderabad.

Work Timings: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
