Team Manager Internal Communications Manager

Job Description




: The candidate must possess strong writing, proof-reading and presentation skills. They will lead internal communications end-to-end for an entire vertical/horizontal/ function and will be expected to offer advice, support various corporate functions and senior leaders to effectively engage with associates. The candidate must also have remarkable project management skills and assist the respective business units to create, manage and deliver strategic communications while developing compelling copies for internal communications campaigns.
As an Internal Communications Manager, you will be expected to:

  • Create end-to-end quarterly and annual communications strategy for your respective BU / function
  • Execute the communications strategy as per above outline and measure its effectiveness across the BU / function


  • Understand the pulse of associates across teams and levels and come up with customized communications plans / solutions as per impromptu requirements, such as change management, new launches, organizational announcements, crisis communication and more
  • Support the central communications team in organizing IOA wide events (virtual + in-person) and drive maximum participation from your respective BU / function
  • Create a rapport with all stakeholders to be able to ensure participation leading to increased visibility of the BU / function across initiatives at the central level
  • Create and implement programs, content, and tools that will engage Cognizant?s workforce
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders of various departments both at a global and regional level including HRs to support strategic business priorities and deliver effective communications campaigns


  • Ensure that our associates receive information that?s relevant to them in an organized, consistent and timely manner via channels that are easy to access, search and consume
  • Create, implement and continually improve internal communication standards and processes
  • Adopt a data-driven approach and work to deliver a highly engaging tactical plan that?s well integrated with the overall comms strategy and objectives
  • Understand and translate Cognizant?s brand and style guidelines into a clear, confident and human voice
  • Mentor, train and provide growth opportunities for junior content writers and designers on the team


  • Support special communication projects as assigned by your manager
  • Ensure that all communications are written with a diversity and inclusion lens to represent us as a globally diverse and inclusive brand.
