In the HPE Chief Technology Office, we lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for all of HPE. This includes managing the design, development, and product portfolio of our next-generation cloud platform, Green Lake. Working with customers, we help them reimagine their information technology needs to deliver a simple, consumable solution that helps them drive their business results. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

  • Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors creating user experience design solutions and coordinating projects for products and service lines.
  • Have a bias for action mentoring designers to understand and translate design research and product requirements into wireframes, mockups, and clickable prototypes to help extend and grow the HPE Design System.
  • Understand how to successfully implement the LeanUX approach with staff and a familiarity working with Rally or Jira
  • Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated, and that goals, objectives, and timelines are met in accordance with program and roadmaps.
  • Communicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners.
  • Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.
  • Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development.
What you need to bring:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, UX Research, Interaction Design, Fine Arts or equivalent
  • 8+ years overall UX design experience, with a majority in enterprise software; SaaS experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of people management experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team building, and conflict resolution.
  • Experience with a collaborative culture; Collaborate with local and remote design teams conducting feedback sessions.
  • Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage human capital across geographies to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills.
  • Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Strong communication skills (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English and local language
  • Good understanding of the company\'s policies and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with product teams to understand the problem domain and design solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Working mastery of Figma and the ability to ensure consistent experiences are created while utilizing a UI/UX design system.
  • General understanding of HTML elements and basic CSS principles
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding data center management and cloud technologies, as well as network and system administration tools

  • Collaborates across functions to deliver user experience design solutions.
  • Typically interacts with high-level Individual Contributors, Managers &, Directors.
  • Drives business initiatives of moderate scope.
Complexity:
  • Leads moderate to complex user experience design activities.
  • Anticipates tactical needs and impact on the business.
