Job Summary Supply Chain Management (SCM) is responsible for monitoring the triggering and delivery of day 2 risk controls under the Banks umbrella of the Global Operational Risk (GOR) Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Framework. To meet increasing focus on regulatory requirements relating to risks associated vendor products and services, the bank will perform specific risk assessments depending in the nature of the products and/or services being procured. The SCM TPRM Hub team is responsible for ensuring that those risk assessment and controls are executed in line with the policies and standards, and that they can be reported on in various risk committees and forums. The successful candidate will be part of the centralised TPRM Hub responsible for executing these TPRM control activities in collaboration with various business function and related support teams. Responsibilities Strategy Liaise with the SCM Global and Country Management teams to support them in delivery of SCM TPRM related responsibilities Performs the role within the operating model Business Understands and can interpret the commercials obligations within a contract. Understands the vendor engagement risk profile to ensure risks are managed by the applicable risk control groups. Drives the sustainability agenda is it relates to specific engagements. Works with category teams to align preferred channels. Collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of approach at it relates to vendor engagements. Is an escalation path for vendor performance observations and works with business partners and vendors to resolve issues. Processes Maintains engagement level stakeholder relationships to advise and guide the stakeholder through the sourcing process - maintains on-going relationships with global sourcing teams. Implements practical measures to drive the sustainability agenda. Guides Business Stakeholders through TPRM decision-making processes. Ensure the intrinsic business value of the SCM TPRM Framework is communicated and understood by the business. Provides guidance on SCM process, systems, policy and procedure Risk Management Identifies and mitigates risks that would impact the overall risk profile of the bank. Ensures projects are prioritized and delivered against agreed timelines Supports, leads and executes TPRM initiatives. Able to identify key risk elements as it relates to the engagement category and type at a basic level Can create risk packs for TPRMCs. Maintains a working relationship with risk control group peers. Works with cluster, regional and /or global SCM teams to develop applicable reporting to meet minimum standards Improves data quality by collaborating with stakeholders Assist in effective governance and controls for supplier risk management across the bank, manage the vendor and contract management framework in the region Supports the business functional vendor management teams in day 2 supplier matters Operate in compliance with mandated sourcing processes, policies and procedures Governance Maintains thought leading relationships with business stakeholders and key risk owners to ensure that service improvement opportunities are communicated effectively and consistently. Work in a highly effective Supply Chain Management (SCM) team that will deliver TPRM services that exceed stakeholder and client expectation. Contribute to process improvement initiatives Educates the business on sustainable ways to procure goods and services and ensures continuous improvement in terms of adoption Regulatory & Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct and live by the . Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct. Lead the Group/Country Stakeholder to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\'s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients Effective Financial Markets Financial Crime Compliance The Right Environment. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. Key stakeholders Key stakeholder interactions are Global Business / Function Heads SCM regional teams Regional Heads, Regional Category Managers, In country sourcing managers Cross functional teams during category management development and during strategic sourcing events. This include, but not limited to, Business stakeholders, Legal, Compliance, Tax and Finance and Risk Control Groups Qualifications Academic/ Professional Qualifications At least a Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Risk Management, Economics or Business Administration Language Proficiency Fluent in English. Vietnamese/Thai/Korean Language Skill is a significant advantage Experience At least 8 years\' working experience in Risk Management/Commercial Risk Management/Contract Risk Management. Previous experience of working within the Financial Services or technology sector is an advantage Relevant experience in stakeholder management (i.e., practices, leadership, effectiveness). Specialized knowledge or skills required Able to use ERP systems such as SAP, Ariba and Microsoft Office Excel. Good working knowledge of contracts & familiar with legal agreements Advanced knowledge in TPRM. Advanced business management skills including stakeholder management, commercial judgment, and process improvement.
