Who we are looking for:

AGCO Is looking to hire candidates for the position of Data Governance Manager.

The Strategy and Transformation (S&T) function is accountable to lead the development, execution, and evolution of AGCO’s corporate strategy. This includes on-going analysis of the industry and competitive landscape, translating the strategy into business plans, leading a multiyear roadmap of strategic initiatives with expected value creation targets, and establishing change management strategies. To deliver on those expectations, the S&T function includes Business Strategy Leads, Data & Analytics, Results Delivery Office, Corporate Communications, Culture, and Change Management. The Data Governance Manager is a key role within the S&T function and is responsible for leading the definition, implementation and oversight of the AGCO’s data management strategies, standards, practices, and processes including initiative prioritization. This role is accountable to ensure the standards and processes by which data is collected, stored, cleaned/maintained, shared, utilized, and protected adheres to best data management practices, regulatory and security requirements, and meets the needs of internal data consumers/stakeholders; all the while maintaining efficiency and while avoiding inaccurate data handling and unusable data.
What you will do:


  • Establishes AGCO’s data governance and quality standards, policies, and procedures – leveraging industry standards and best practices.
  • Works closely with Legal and IT functions to ensure data governance and quality standards incorporate all critical data privacy and security requirements.
  • Oversees the execution of data governance and enables compliance with data policies throughout the organization.
  • Lead the definition and execution of a data domain strategy including initiative prioritization.
  • Identifies data domain leaders & stewards; Establishes and leads a data governance council and ensures support of data governance throughout the organization.
  • Work with senior management and key business stake holders in identifying and prioritizing actionable, impactful data governance use cases across a variety of core business fronts to drive informed decision-making across the business.
  • Lead change management and communication efforts with the broader organization so that the importance and value of clean, high-quality data is understood by the organization.

What you will bring:
  • Master degree or equivalent work experience
  • Familiar with big data computing frameworks for processing of large data volumes (AWS Glue, EMR and Sagemaker)
  • Familiar with Master Data Governance and MDM systems and processes
  • Familiar with cloud technologies for model development and deployment
  • Relevant 7 + years of experience is required for position
  • Familiarity with data science and data wrangling process. Familiarity with languages such as Python, R, SAS , SQL etc. Familiarity with big data tools such as Hive, Spark, Hadoop etc.
  • Strong data visualization and communication skills including written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Previous corporate or consulting experience in managing sophisticated analytical projects and problem solving in large cross-functional organizations
  • Willingness to travel.
