Job Context:

• Hindalco is a flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group and has grown exponentially
• Extrusions is part of the Downstream business unit with 4 manufacturing facilities \xe2\x80\x93 Renukoot, Alupuram, Kuppam and Silvassa
• To work on elevation & shop drawings for Aluminium doors / windows / fa\xc3\xa7ade segment & suggest suitable profile to internal & external stake holders.
• To develop / propose profile drawings & related fixing details with assembly drawings of each segment / category for B&C stream.

Develop & Design New Profile / System for Building & Construction Stream.

To develop / propose profile drawings & related fixing details with assembly drawings of each segment / category for B&C stream.

To do feasibility analysis for new die enquiry received form customer considering the plant & press capabilities for manufacturing.

To do feasibility analysis of all new dies across all extrusion press in the system & see possibility of extrusion by choosing the right press.

To read all the fabrication drawing efficiently & suggest suitable section from the existing catalogue or develop a new die for complete a system / series.

Coordination with Plant, Sales Team & External Stake Holders

To have close coordination with die shop /tool room & advise correct tolerance after detail analysis with customer design team & sales team.

Breach the gap between the plant & customer for setting extrusion tolerance as per the standard available in the market like IS, EN, BIS etc.

Responsible to create full awareness of the available product range as well as new development to internal & external stake holders.

To coordinate with new product development team, tool room, design section to propose product which will add value with high margins.

Standardization of existing & new product range

To work closely with sales team, specification team to understand the market requirement to design & promote standardize product for Building & Customer customers.

The candidate should emphasis & work to standardise the regular door, window & fa\xc3\xa7ade section for mass production & pushing standard series in the market.

To review on regular interval on existing product portfolios & updates company catalogue.

Should understand the shop drawing for with all necessary components like hardware, glass, gasket etc

System Window & Fa\xc3\xa7ade Designing

The candidate will work out to develop new series from existing & new design for door, window, partition & fa\xc3\xa7ade segment to meet competitive requirement of the market.

Regularly visit competitors new development & offer to understand the company can develop & design new profile for the market

Customer Visits to close design related to queries

To visit customer especially the design team to close technical matter related to design, assembly considering the plant technical capabilities.

To ensure that all designer related matter such as tolerance are accepted from customer as per various extrusion standards.
