Role Overview (Objective & Scope)

Test Lead who can work as individual contributor as well as able to play the lead role in projects and mentor/guide junior testers. Test lead should have proficiency in manual as well as automation testing (Selenium) having experience in web and mobile applications testing.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Working as individual contributor as well as playing the role of test leads in projects
• Ensuring the adherence to the QA process defined
• Creating test strategy in the beginning of project based on the critical paths defined in the project
• Developing as well as executing end to end functional Test Scenario/test cases
• Reviewing test cases/scenarios created by other testers in the team
• Evaluating the functional and non-functional requirements for test-ability, test cases and use cases for suitability for automation
• Setting up regression test suit and executing at the defined intervals
• Creating automation test scripts based on regression test suits created
• Collaborating with developers, Product Owners, Architects in the team to produce high quality deliveries
• Executing, and maintaining database scripts
• Choosing between various open-source API Testing tools depending on context and suggesting the best one to be adopted by various components
• Developing/ maintaining quality aspect of the delivery
• Actively participating in the call/ session in all the scrum ceremonies as well customer call wherever needed
• Mentoring and guiding junior testers in the team
• Generating knowledge database and respective content so that future team members can be onboarded easily
• Communicating as well as reporting test status to relevant stakeholders

Skill Set + Experience Required:

Must have

• 8+ Years' experience in core skills
• Proficient in Test case writing and execution
• Proficient in test data creation
• Proficient in database querying/ DML commands/ Stored Procedure & Package analysis
• Ability to understand end to end functional use cases
• Proficient in Jira/ Confluence/ Zephyr/ Bitbucket
• Good experience in mobile and web applications testing
• Understanding of enterprise level release and deployment processes
• Good understanding of automation testing
• Hands on or good understanding of API Testing
• Ability to interact with Respective stakeholders
• Solution driven attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrates Excellence and Professionalism
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as a lead
• Active Learner
• Good understanding of QA processes
• Believes in Agile and DevOps philosophy

• Have a combination of functional skills with testing and technical affinities
• Good interpersonal skills
• Basic understanding across various types of testing formats (UI, Security, API, Performance, Load etc.)
• To be able to prepare test environments by deploying the solution following appropriate product configuration
