We incorporate the integrated systems, solutions and services of our business's DC and AC fields, including HVDC, Substations, FACTS, Offshore Wind Connections, Semiconductors and Power Consulting, for utility and industrial grid applications, as well as e-transportation solutions. You will create and complete bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget in order to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin for the Company. Your responsibilities

• Adhere to internal processes with flexibility to adapt solutions to project specifics.
• Attend Project Kick-off Meeting and Tender Team Meetings as Civil representative.
• Obtain and check for completeness and correctness of all relevant Tender information, to comply with both internal processes and Client requirements.
• Communicate with relevant Engineering Teams for clarification of scope and technical issues.
• Communicate with Sales Department for clarification of commercial issues.
• Maintain understanding of the Tender’s technical evolution including Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
• Analyze customer specifications and internal engineering documentation with regard to Construction Scope by seeking advice and support from HSE, Quality and Planning teams, Communicate results of analysis and the respective cost impacts
• Translates the Request for Bid requirements to adequate Supervision needs for the project by seeking the advice of the relevant Construction Line Managers and includes/considers the same into the Cost Calculation.
• Implements all possible changes resulting from Tender Review Meeting and seeks approval as per GPQS Approval-Process.
• Prepares all relevant Tender-Project specific Documentation as per customer / Internal requirements, seeks approval as per Approval-Process and submits the same together with the approved Cost Calculation.
• Participate in handover of successful Tenders to Project Execution.
• Involvement in GPQS continuous improvement process of internal documentation and information database improvement.
• Strictly observe and implement the business HSE and Quality policy as well as all company rules.

Your background

• Bachelor or master-degree in a technical discipline, preferably Civil Engineering and 7 - 10 years working experience, with 5 years of experience working in Sub Stations / STATCOM / SVC Construction and/or similar business.
• Substantial experience and knowledge of multidiscipline scopes of work.
• Business and commercial awareness and knowledge.
• Understanding of risks identification and mitigations.
• Able to be an integral part of a team.
• Able to think strategically, creative, and innovative.
• Achievement and goal orientated.
• Ability to act independently.
• Strong ability to communicate verbally and in written English.
• Trustworthy, reliable, and dependable.
• Read & understand the Civil Specification
• Read & understand the Soil report
• Prepare pre bid Query
• Conduct Site visit for pretender stage
• Quantity Take off & Prepare Bill of Quantities
• Analyze Rate for Civil works items
• Fully Conversant with Current trends in Civil work for Substation & Pre engineered Building.
• Develop database of Civil Contractors across region, Create Synergy with Civil Contractors.
• Fully Conversant with IS Code for Civil works
• Float enquiry & get the offers from Civil vendor& Evaluation of offers
• Negotiate Rates & Prepare Comparison of offers.
• Willing to travel (Extensive) for Site visit
