BBD BU recognizes new trends in the industry with increased value of communications on customer premises in the era of 5G and expect us to deliver the highest quality of experience which is fully supported by our portfolio of FWA/ONT and Beacons.

This BU accelerates differentiation in the end-user experience that, ultimately, will associate the Nokia brand to a premium broadband experience. We will deliver products and solutions that support best-in-class Gigabit to-the-home from FWA and ONTs and, inside the home through our WiFi Beacons while addressing the Enterprise market and WiFi cloud management with FON.

The FWA Business Line delivers 3GPP-based products under the name of Fast Mile. The ONT Business Line delivers fiber and copper based ONTs. The Nokia Wifi Business Line delivers Wifi Beacons along with Cloud based Mesh solution. All Beacons are controlled via Nokia Wifi App. We can manage our home's connectivity via Nokia WiFi Cloud solution.

• Experience: Between 8 to 12 years
• This role requires a technical excellence in the areas defined below.
• Responsible for architecture and design of features,
• interacts with the product owner on the requirement and converts the high-level requirement into design for the teams.
• Responsible for splitting the requirement into fine grained user stories. Should possess excellent debugging and problem
• Solving skills, mentors the team technically.
• xPON ONT system level test to make sure the delivery quality in line with customer's requirement and quality target.

Responsibility

• Education: Bachelor or above, telecommunication, electronic engineering, computer science, or related major preferred
• Strong Protocol understanding and development on SIP , H248 , T.38, TCP/IP and L2 and L3 understand is preferred.
• Strong Debugging skills on SIP, H.248 , Voice codecs, RTP/RTCP, RFC2833 , T.38, DSP , jitter, loss, voice quality
• Technical leadership and team mentorship experience
• Exposure working in a multi-site software development environment
• Experience working with Consumer or Access Equipments (DSLAM, GPON, Aggregators), Set top Box(STB), Wifi Routers
• Exposure to Carrier Ethernet, GPON related protocols
• Experience in architecting a consumer or network product (e.g. Set top Box, Wifi Router, DSLAM, switches ...)
• Experience with Software Upgrades, Database Migration
• Exposure to Ethernet, Layer 2, Layer 3, TCP/IP technologies
• Ethernet, VLAN, IP, QOS, DHCP, 802.1x, IP forwarding, Routing Protocols Proficiency in GPON MAC, OMCI (G.984.4/ G.988), Data modules (L2 & L3), Voice
• Protocol knowledge in IP Forwarding, VLAN (802.1q), Bridging & Switching, IGMP Snooping/Proxy, DHCP, SNTP, NAT/ NAPT, PPPoE, SIP, H.323
• Good exposure to TR-069, WT-257 are added advantage
• Exposure to development of Highly Available systems
• Multi-threaded environment development experience, Driver development
• Exposure of working with Cisco, Juniper like Switches and Routers
• Layer 2 Switching and Layer 3 Forwarding / Routing
• Excellent programming skills in C / C++
• SW Architecture and design experience
• Development with Real time OS, Embedded Linux, OSE
• Abstraction Layer design and development
• Data structures, Algorithms
• Experience with protocol test equipment and tools
• Strong with Quality processes
• Exposure to extreme programming practices
• Must have very good PowerPoint & Visio skills
• Mentor and motivate a team of highly skilled professionals
