Job Description

The Technical Product Manager Workday will provide leadership, strategic direction and analysis to oversee the organization's human resource information system. This includes system configuration, business process management, and security maintenance. They will create short and long-term goals and objectives for operations, processes, data flows, security, reporting, and analytics. This role will support a team of engineers and assisting with their backlog of information. Typical Day Responsible for creating, maintaining and prioritizing the Product Backlog according to business value for the life of the project Communicate Product Backlog priorities to the team Act as the key decision-maker regarding what features the product will have Responsible for the vision of what is to be built, and conveying that vision to the team

Job Role:

• Build and lead a Workday team with culture of accountability that ensures delivery of timely, quality services. Review and analyze current procedures, identify areas for improvement and develop and implement a standardization system across the enterprise.
• Translate business objectives and unmet needs into a clear vision and roadmap, with rigorous requirements, then support the execution of that vision.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across all functions (HR, Finance, IT, Operations) to maintain and develop processes that will create a best in class HR operations platform and an excellent employee experience.
• Lead projects and teams; obtain key partner buy-in, develop requirements, build/test, prepare for change management, go-live and conduct post-mortem feedback improvements.

• 10-15 years of ERP - Peoplesoft experience.
• 5 years of experience managing Workday Teams Experience defining, designing, and implementing HR and Finance applications with Workday
• Technical Skills Required: 5+ years experience working as a product owner 5+ years of experience leading a technical team while simultaneously managing multiple projects 3+ years of experience with the Agile methodology Desired: Product Owner certification (CSPO from Scrum Alliance)
• Domain expertise in business applications Experience managing projects using Agile software tools such as Mingle, VSTS, JIRA, Team Services, Rally Demonstrated ability to empower teams Strong accountability, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, and communication skills
• Knowledge of SDLC and demonstrated experience employing SDLC in aspects of the project management process Background in Software Engineering
• Have an understanding and hands on experience of Workday's security model, Time Tracking, Payroll and 3rd Party payroll Integrations
• Knowledge and hands on experience of Workday implementation tools (Enterprise interface builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, and DTS) , Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST, and WS standards)
• Keen problem-solving skills, ability to deal with complex situations and recommend a technical solution
• Strong bias for action with a demonstrated track record of owning and delivery solutions successfully.
