This position is for SCIEX team located at Danaher India Development Centre (IDC), Bangalore IDC is a research and development centre with the vision of accelerating product roadmaps across various Danaher business segments. Started in 2014, the centre now hosts 500+ associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies includes Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Danaher Digital, Hach, Leica Microsystems,HemoCue, Videojet, SCIEX and Cepheid. The IDC workforce comprises of various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists. The inhouse teams works in close coordination with other global R&D centers at US, Canada, Europe, Japan, China, and Singapore.Located at the centre of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility, measuring 120 K. Position Description: The position ofTechnical Product Manager reports to the Director, Software Product Management. This role represents an opportunity for an experienced Software Product Manager, preferably in the life science industry with mass spectrometry experience. We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to join Software Product Management group to support development of core software platform. They are tasked with scope/schedule trade-off decisions, monitor the progress of product development, analyzing customer opinions and feedback, and ensure implemented product features add value to end users. You will be called upon to work collaboratively with our business partners, Architects, Global Product Managers/Owners, to set goals for your team and guide them with hands-on technical expertise. You willbe involved indeep in technicaldesign discussions andimplementations. You will bring your proficiency in application development, software development leadership and detailed SW planning/execution acumen. You will have the opportunity to mentorteam memberto become highly efficient in what they do with on-time product delivery. You will work with a globally distributed Agile team in a fast- paced environment. Your team members willbe located inBangalore and will closely collaborate with the development teams in Toronto, Canada. Responsibilities : Specific responsibilities commensurate with experience and include: Prioritize and advocate customer and business current and future needs into the Product development team Translate the user persona and collaborate with a cross-functional team including research, development, service, support and Product management to develop product requirements/ product specifications Ensure the product requirements are executed upon during new product development Define the validation strategy and contribute to and approve the validation plan In collaboration with Product Manager author User Needs Document Communicate progress to LC/MS leadership at regular cadence Rapidly engage product line director if project deliverables are off-track Understand customer workflows and task flows relevant to product under development Collect and analyze customer VOC relevant to product under development Conduct/Support external customer evaluation to gain customer insight and test value of features and/or product Assist with global product launch, including sales training and collateral development to ensure product launch execution KeyRequirement&Qualifications: BE/BTech/MCA/MTech degree BSc, MSc, PhD level technical degree in life science (LC/MS) Nice to have Overall 12+ years of experience with atleast 5+ years hands-on software experience, knowledge of cloud platforms a plus Experience in working in agile teams Training and certification as a professional scrum product owner (PSPO) or as a certified scrum product owner (CSPO) are an asset. (Nice to have) Additional Requirements Strong problem-solving and analytical skills: ability to dissect problems and projects into manageable tasks. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to direct and motivate the product development team of an organization Interpersonal Skill: Strong team player who has a proven track record of working effectively in a cross-functional, matrix environment and with user groups. Proven ability to make decisions, positively influence others, and work well in a fast-moving environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact well with people at all levels within an organization Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills Customer focus, value driven - passionate about working to develop software products to address customer needs.
