What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
Experience in managing embedded linux or RTOS based projects.
Experience in working with teams in different time zones.
Good knowledge of Embedded Software Development process.
Familiarity with setting up embedded system software release cycle.
Good understanding of using development tools like Git and Jira for version control and defect tracking.
Prior experience in a Scrum or Kanban environment highly desired
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
What You Will Do
Work closely with Hardware Engineering and Quality Assurance to design, develop and test the firmware that will be deployed on next generation Trimble GNSS receivers.
Define and optimize the development process to maximize productivity and release high quality products.
Track defects and assign resources based on release priority.
Manage the chennai engineering team and assign resources based on priorities.
Experience/Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
A minimum of 15+ years of experience working in embedded software development environments.
Business knowledge of Embedded systems is highly desirable.
