Job Title Technical Lead, Software Development Engineering What does an outstanding Snowflake Developer do at Fiserv Fiserv a FinTech giant is looking for talented and technically proficient in Snowflake Cloud Platform to join our team. The ability to think tactically as well as strategically and to articulate your expectations to a mixed team of engineers, senior level developers is critical to the success in this role. In addition to these important skills, it is imperative that you can summarize technical issues relating to software implementation, function, and upgrades and to prepare written and verbal updates to senior level management. This is a hands-on technical role and will resolve all technical issues within lower and upper environments and making recommendation for performance and capacity improvements. Additionally, you will focus using analytical and troubleshooting skills to provide project participation, support continuity, and rotating on-call escalation. Teamwork and creativity are essential to this role. As a go-to point of escalation, you will be challenged with resolving client impacting issues in a fast-paced environment. What you will do: Develop Snowflake data pipelines, data models, data governance and performance tuning Develop DB objects in Snowflake, stored procedures, and test them with Mock data Understand the requirement and design database for Snowflake. Work with Fiserv Leads to understand and adhere to standard practices followed in the project Work with and support application team and extend hands to analyze the data, issues and fix them Active participation in agile (Scrum) deployment team activities Work closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture Learn the GBS Merchants/ POS terminal onboarding and processing business domain and our systems. Partnering with business and technical SMEs to understand relevant data, analyze, troubleshoot, and perform necessary deep dive to solve given business problem, summarize and present key findings. Participate in all Production Support activities during CRs, incidents and outages. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and team members. What you will need to have: Bachelor\'s degree required relevant, equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree requirement. 5-7 Years Overall IT experience 4-6 years of experience with sound knowledge on database concepts like Entity-relationship, Data modeling, DDL and DML statements etc. Good experience in writing complex SQL queries, Analytical functions, Joins, Indexes, functions and stored procedures. 2+ years of proven experience in Snowflake Understanding of Snowflake capabilities like Functions, hands on exp with Snowflake utilities, stage and file upload features, time travel, fail safe, procedure writing, tasks, snowpipe, SnowSQL Understanding of migration, dev/ops, ETL/ELT, and BI required In-depth understanding of Data Warehousing, ETL concepts and modeling structure principles What would be nice/great to have: Snowflake SnowPro certification AWS Cloud experience Agile development environment Experience of development using GIT Lab, bit bucket.
