Role Purpose

The Technical Developer will be responsible to develop and implement a variety of dashboards / analytical solutions to meet the needs of the ServCo organisation through Qlik Sense / Qlik NPrinting and further host them on QS Server Platform and manage through SharePoint. The role will be required to form a detailed understanding of multiple complex data sources across ServCo and prepare Qlik Sense dashboards and Qlik NPrinting for printable reports to collate, analyze and present MI along with required access management / security requirements.

The role requires good experience in Qlik Sense design and development with a general understanding of Business Intelligence and reporting. The role will also require good communication, troubleshooting and analytical skills.

What you will do:



The Technical Developer is expected to support ServCo Head of Reporting & MI & Manager - Qlik through various activities:

BUSINESS / FUNCTION

• Perform Qlik Sense development, dashboarding and data modeling alongside implementing reporting (ad hoc report generation) techniques.
• Perform Data transformation, creation of QVD files and set analysis.
• Create, manage and implement application development and deployment using Qlik Sense.
• Create, manage and implement report template development and deployment using Qlik NPrinting.
• Possess good communication skills (verbal/written) to deliver the technical insights and interpret the data reports to the clients. Also help in understanding and serving to the stakeholders' requirements.
• Support implementation of Qlik Sense best practices in order to deliver effective Qlik Sense solutions to ServCo stakeholders.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Support ServCo Head of Reporting & MI and Manager - Qlik in working with business units to define and prototype Qlik Sense Dashboards and Qlik NPrinting printable reports.
• Meet agreed timeline for Dashboard and Report development.
• Ensure Quality of Service is upheld and Quality issues are dealt with on a timely basis. This includes delivery of assigned projects in a timely manner with 100% accuracy

LEADERSHIP & TEAMWORK

• Develop consistent and best in class dashboards and tools under the guidance of Manager - Qlik and ensure effective use across the ServCo.
• Ensure a healthy relationship is maintained with the stakeholders and it is demonstrated across the ServCo Service Management Office.
• Encourage and facilitate an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand.
• Should be able to work end to end with minimal support.
• Proactive approach and engagement in team initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in BE, B.TECH, BCA or related equivalent qualification or above.
• Strong analytical and logical mindset.
• Well-versed with concepts and techniques of Data Visualization and Reporting with general understanding of Business Intelligence.
• Must be familiar with a project's complete life cycle implementation of at least 1 to 2 projects.
• Skilled in Qlik Sense web integration through Mashup, nested selection, stored procedures, triggers, analytic functions, tuning, VizLib etc.
• Good to have experience in Qlik NPrinting Template creating and report generation in PixelPerfect, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experienced in data integration through extracting, transforming and loading (ETL) data from various sources including cloud.
• Must be efficient in front-end development and know visualization best practices.
• Experience of forming and maintaining network relationships - good stakeholder interaction skills.
• Good spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered.
• Good to have an understanding / knowledge of java scripting and building CSS. Some experience in SharePoint designing and maintenance will be given preference.
