We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Finance Change Delivery -GSC’s
Principal responsibilities:

  • Perform the development (coding), documentation and implementation of stress testing models with SAS Enterprise Guide and DI Studio for wholesale Credit Risk Actuals and Projections, covering: technical design and documentation, coding of the component, testing of the component
  • Supporting testing (FT & UAT) and overall delivery of the solution by working together with the Stress test Delivery Manager and other suppliers (e.g. IT).
  • Ensure delivery reduces hand offs yet increasing interaction between various Country teams, Region and Group business teams across Finance and Risk.
  • Ensure the use of SAS toolset reduces lead time to delivery and aligns to strategic direction so that cross-functional development is usable
  • Design should help embed standard processes, systems and operational models into the BAU approach for end-to-end execution of stress tests, enabling the organization to leverage HSBCs global economies of scale
  • Build trusting partnership with Finance Change Delivery (FCD) Stress Testing project team to effectively deliver the required output for closure.
  • Effectively understand and manage Sponsor and Stakeholder expectations, implementing change while minimizing conflicts and communicating achievements and performance against targets
  • Responsible for driving SAS delivery across multiple geographies; there fore the role holder must be highly skilled in teamwork, to drive his/her own and the team’s approach and standards
  • Collaborate with other Group functions, Regional teams to ensure effective working relationships which deploy solutions to a prioritized set of market’s

Requirements
  • Excellent knowledge and interest in new SAS toolset and roadmap
  • Knowledge of Cloud based technologies and Python coding language is advantageous
  • Good knowledge of Credit Risk Stress Testing and Projections
  • Strong conceptual skills (delivery management)
  • PySpark/Spark advantageous
  • Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Numerous years of experience in SAS delivery within large program
  • Demonstrated flexibility across multiple domains and functional areas
  • Structured analytical approach
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and senior leaders
  • Working across cultures and in matrixed organisational structures

  • Recognised numerate University Degree (or equivalent)
  • SAS certification (ideal or job experience to the equivalent)
