Description Semillas Fit\xc3\xb3 India is looking for a Technical Assistant (Crop Technician) for its subsidiary in Bangalore-Karnataka, India.
YOUR TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage crop field activities from field preparation, sowing, crop protection for good crop cultivation.
• Responsible for Selfing, crossing, harvesting of okra hybrid seed.
• Assist to breeder in trail evaluation & selective programs for development of commercial hybrids.
• Data collection and maintains field trial book.
• Knowledge of crop production and practices in okra.
• To conduct & Manage Demo trials of various crops.
• Efficient use of labour & resources and timely implementation of work as per plan.
• With respect to Polyhouses programming of whitewashing, shading meshes, opening and closing of windows as per Photo period of the Crop
• Responsible for attending and monitoring both internal and external audits related to IPM.
• Fill in the weekly log of treatments and releases, deliver treatment orders and record consumables.
• Control of stock and orders of consumables in the area of integrated pest and disease control management
• Cleaning and maintenance of equipment used in IPM
• Calculation of nutrient solutions and organic amendments according to the needs of the crop in coordination with the Farm Manager
• It establishes the frequency and endowment of irrigation for each crop in coordination with the Farm Manager and follows up in the field.
• Control of stock and orders of consumables of the fertigation management area
• Know the management of each crop based on the objective of the test (planting density, number of stems per plant, type of Staking, cuttings, etc.) in Demo trials.
• Program the order of sowing and its distribution in the seedbed next to the trays to the Farm Manager.
• Supervision of plantings
• Teamwork. Personnel management, ensure that seed born diseases protocols are complied with and training the seedling team, in coordination with the Farm Manager.
• Annual review of commonly used materials (Plastics, substrate, Consumables, various staking materials, tools, etc.), in coordination with the Farm Manager for Budget purpose.
• Will report to the FM and will be responsible for ensuring the good phytosanitary and nutritional status of the crops.

• Qualification: Diploma in Agriculture/Horticulture.
• Experience: 2 to 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Okra Crop, GOT, Demo trials

• Good communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple crops.
• Passionate for work in the field of Agriculture
• Computer skills/ Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, and internet Access)
