Call for Applications for the Post of Maker Lab Technical Assistant

i-TIC Foundation is the Technology Business Incubator (TBI) at IIT Hyderabad, with focus on creating a
supportive and nourishing environment for entrepreneurs. i-TIC provides the necessary facilities to
these startup companies, along with guidance and mentoring by the faculty members of IITH and
experts from the industry, to develop a robust ecosystem for entrepreneurship. It invites applications
from Indian Nationals for the following post.


Position: Maker Lab Technical Assistant
(Temporary appointment on Contract for a period of 11 months) Emoluments: Consolidated Pay of Rs. 30,000/- per month.
Experience and • Diploma holder with 4 years of experience (or) BSc with 2 years of
Qualification: experience (or) Btech with 1 year of experience

• Desirable: knowledge and experience related to electronics, IoT boards,

PCB fabrication, embedded systems, programming, CAD and other
engineering software etc.

• Experience in makerlab would be a plus point

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Operating Makerlab machines like CNC router, welding, soldering etc.

• Maintenance of the space, equipment, raw materials and facilities of the lab
• Procurement, stocking and tracking usage of the raw materials and other consumables
• Training and guiding the makers, students and startups on the usage of machines and equipment
• Build and execute a Standard Operating Procedure(SOP) for booking and usage of machines and

equipment

• Build a network and database of vendors and manufacturers to support startups in component

sourcing, fabrication, manufacturing, etc.

• Work towards the sustainability of the makerlab by engaging corporates, industries, etc and

generating revenues from usage of machines
