About LVX software Product Group at Barco
As a part of Barco, a global technology company, the LVX product group creates large video wall experiences for a variety of selected professional markets: control rooms; defence & aerospace, digital cinema, healthcare, media & entertainment, and simulation & virtual reality.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying the quality of the Large Video Wall products of Barco. These products perform real time video and image processing for display on large video wall formats (e.g., LED /LCD/RPC walls) incorporating the Barco industry leading image processing technology. The products are part of highly visible systems in environments where quality is critical such as control rooms, corporate events, boardrooms, television studios, and Houses of Worship. The candidate will be working with an internationally distributed development team.
Specific details about the role are as follows:
Refine requirements/epics/stories as part of scrum development process
Architecture of sub-system within larger system architecture and define project resources striving for reusability
Review team member design proposals wrt compliance with the specifications
Cooperate and collaborate with an internationally distributed team of diverse expertise to realize a complete product
Actively participate in programming practices to improve quality (e.g., code reviews, unit tests, automation, etc)
Lead atleast 6-8 engineers
Others as the position grows
Preferred Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 12+ years of post-degree relevant experience in software industry
Or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 6+ years of post-degree relevant experience in software industry
Excellent English oral and written communication skills including technical terminology
C++ 11 (MUST) or C++ 14 or C++17
Software design and development with Object oriented principles utilizing C++ ecosystem (such as Boost, Qt, CMake)
Experience in TCP/IP, Expert in multithreaded programming
Ability to work autonomously and manage assigned tasks
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
