The Role

Process and Data design work are ongoing for Shell’s businesses. It will provide a Digital Core to transform and radically simplify processes across the organization. Shell’s businesses and functions have begun to draft roadmaps for this journey, to transform, simplify and automate many of our transactional processes. Join us and act as a key collector of product gaps and opportunities. Where you fit In this role, you will deliver a high level of technical excellence in the implementation of initiatives. As the Technical Analyst, you will have stakeholder engagement/management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a global/remote team environment, sensitive to clients’ needs. What’s the role? As Technical Analyst, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of the Platforms and Infrastructure team. You will demonstrate the capacity to use standard modelling approaches, tools, and model repositories. Technical Focus areas are as follows:

• Strategy & Development - Direct activities in areas such as cloud transformation, cloud operations, cloud platforms, automation and orchestration, service management, architecture, virtualization, risk controls, regulatory compliance, security and vulnerability
• Direct activities in areas such as cloud transformation, cloud operations, cloud platforms, automation and orchestration, service management, architecture, virtualization, risk controls, regulatory compliance, security and vulnerability
• Strong experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment
• Hands-on technical experience with leading cloud platforms (e.g. Azure/ AWS)
• Strong experience in automation and DevOps with Exceptional Infra Coding and scripting skills
• Exposure to Cloud operating models (e.g. creating Cloud security and compliance governance models)
• Solid experience with virtual data centres, public cloud services migrations with AWS or Azure as well as solutions based on private cloud solutions.
• Demonstrated capacity to use standard modelling approaches, tools and model repositories.
• Demonstrated experience in applying multiple technology solutions to business problems; and astuteness in identifying and implementing continuous process improvements.
• Partner with business and IT representatives including architecture, application and infrastructure teams.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Platforms and Infrastructure team
• Deliver a high level of technical excellence in the implementation of initiatives
• Assist with the design of Platform and Infrastructure systems
• You have excellent stakeholder engagement/management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a global/remote team environment, sensitive to clients’ needs.
• 1 relevant accreditation to a base level (Microsoft/AWS )

What We Need from You

• Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline.
• Have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the IT industry out of which 2 years in Technical Consulting
• Deep experience in Azure/AWS IAAS (with good fundamentals in network and security) as well as PAAS. Good understanding of all Azure services and ability to choose the right service for a workload among multiple Azure services.
• Strong expertise in DevOps, Agile methodologies, CI/CD and tools like VSTS, Jira
• Strong understanding of one or more development platform DotNet technologies (C#), Java / JavaScript or Powershell/JSON.
• Technically adapt in multiple areas, including .NET / C#, Java, Python, Powershell, JSON, etc
• Experience in Microservices and container technologies
