Team Lead Software Engineering

Order Services team is focused on developing and maintaining variety of PNR/Order (travel booking) services running on open systems in GCP. In specific the team is responsible for multiple PNR web services and development of breakthrough architecture to store and operate on next-generation booking data. All the applications are high volume, multi-instance and critical.

This is unique opportunity to work on designing and building world class new system from scratch utilizing our business expertise in the travel booking domain and latest technical stack.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for developing web services across the product lines. We also design and build data stores in modern, scalable, document-oriented architectures. We employ latest cloud technologies and practices to handle high volume of transactions supporting millions of traveling passengers daily.

Duties/responsibilities:

?a,A Works independently designing and developing complex new software products or major enhancements to existing software

?a,A May interface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications

?a,A Promotes best coding practices and software development standards

?a,A Supports Dev Team in the estimation process

?a,A Designs and builds prototype applications

?a,A Researches best practices, new tools and technology.

?a,A Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them

?a,A Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements

?a,A Commitment to achieving projects goals and orientation to improve quality

?a,A May assist in development of software technical documentation

?a,A Should be able to deliver HLD and LLD

?a,A Identifies, evaluates, and implements solutions using application best practices, current architectures, and technologies to meet current and future needs

?a,A Consistently improve all aspect of Non-Functional Requirements(NFR) associated with each feature of the Product Suite

?a,A Own complete software development lifecycle ?a," designing, leading implementation and testing of new features within a fast paced, agile environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

aa,A Minimum 8+ years related experience

aa,A Excellent programming skill in Java

aa,A Excellent in Algorithm and problem-solving skills

aa,A Experience with Tomcat or other application servers

aa,A SOA/Microservices implementation experience

aa,A Excellent in Design principles and patterns

aa,A Advocate of TDD/ Agile Engineering practices

aa,A Good knowledge of Clean code and refactoring

aa,A Good knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems

aa,A Experience with SQL, NoSQL(Redis, Couchbase, Mongo) Databases

aa,A Experience in SOAP/REST Web Services

aa,A Experience in JUnit/TestNG/Mockito and other Unit Testing framework

aa,A Experience in monitoring and improving performance of applications

aa,A Experience in delivering software via complete (CI/CD) pipeline

aa,A Experience with Spring core Spring boot and MVC framework

aa,A Experience in cloud computing (Docker, K8S, PubSub etc)

aa,A Experience in Cloud platforms like GCP / AWS /Azure

aa,A Excellent verbal and written communication skills

aa,A Ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously

aa,A Possess good organizational skills
