Job Overview

Tax and accounting expert to manage and facilitate the Income tax and Transfer Pricing compliances of the company. A team player who will manage a small team and work closely with the Head of tax for India and ME region to identify opportunities for process improvement and potential areas of risk. The Tax Manager will ensure compliance with Income tax laws through a series of systems and controls that are designed to ensure accurate, timely reporting. They will monitor current and impending changes to tax regulation and make the appropriate updates to policies and strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Sound technical knowledge of Indian income tax and Transfer Pricing matters.
• Oversee third party service provider preparation of all Indian income tax filings including ensuring information internally is obtained and shared in a timely manner.
• Review income tax compliances prepared internally / externally and coordinate final review with the Head of Tax for India and ME region.
• Liaise with other key tax, accounting, and finance professionals on process improvement projects.
• Review tax returns and quarterly / yearly tax projections. Ensure remittance of timely tax payments.
• Support statutory financial statements audits, tax audits, etc.
• Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects.
• Provide support to the global tax provision team on matters related to quarterly and year-end tax provisions.
• Lead income tax audits with third party service providers.
• Understand the company\'s business and maintain effective control on the tax processes.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• CA with at least 5-7+ PQE years of experience preferably in global public / mid-size Indian accounting firm. Experience of working in the tax department of an MNC organization would be preferable but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of transfer pricing issues common to multi-national manufacturing companies along with basic working knowledge of Indirect tax laws.
• Demonstrable facility with and knowledge of one or more common ERP platforms.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong accounting, analytical, documentation and research skills.
