Stefanini is looking for an CIBA 3 System Engineer, The resource request is for a System Engineer with focus on a Siemens application. Individual should be a "self-starter" and able to quickly adapt/learn additional skills as required to support a particular need. We can provide necessary training on major applications and are open to providing some supplementary training to address small gaps, but individual should be reasonably self-sufficient out of the gate. Some familiarity with the bolded items is expected for any candidate. Non-bolded items are preferred, but are not critical.

Job Requirements

Details:

System Engineer role has the following broad responsibilities in both internal as well as customer environments:

• Deployment of applications (currently focused on Siemens EnergyIP) based on documentation provided by the Technical Architect
• Deployment of any necessary prerequisite software required by the above software (e.g. Tomcat, Java, Apache HTTP)
• Deployment of application updates in the form of service packs or hotfixes
• Provide technical support and resolution to the project team for any issues potentially related to deployment of these components
• Role may have similar responsibilities in multiple projects due to the dynamics of the responsibilities

The Engineer is expected to have a broad range of basic IT skills such as:

• Linux/UNIX command line

• Ability to use a text based editor such as vi
• File system (copy files, manage directories, check disk space availability/usage)
• Read/write basic shell scripts
• Networking knowledge

• Understand basic design elements of TCP/IP networks, VLAN usage
• Usage of common command line network tools such as ping, traceroute, SFTP, SCP, TCPDump, netstat, curl.
• Security

• Understanding of a firewall"s role in a TCP/IP network as well as potential impact on application behavior
• Basic understanding of Active Directory & LDAP structures and accessibility from 3rd party applications
• Usage and deployment of SSL/certificates in applications like Tomcat or Apache HTTP
• Oracle

• Functional usage of common Oracle tools such as SQLPlus, tnsping, SQL Developer
• Create connection strings for use in tnsnames.ora or jdbc applications based on Oracle server details
• Construct basic SQL statements to query or update an Oracle database

The only thing I would add to the above is familiarity with AWS environment.

Travel requirements: This is a remote role and does not require any travel. However, overlap with US central time working hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST) will be expected.
