The Position

As a System Manager, you will be responsible for managing CONNECT. Supervising the day-to-day usage, operation and maintenance of system, handle change & release management, review & sign off for the validation deliverables, ensuring documentation according to standards and guidelines in close collaboration with Quality Assurance on system status, evaluation, documentation, and criticality of system components.

  • Change & Release Management: participate in new releases, enhancements, feature release, design review, risk assessment and perform qualification activities of the changes in scope. Responsible for the delivery of system and services while ensuring that they meet business requirement in co-ordination with Line of Business.
  • Drive operational vendor coordination as per agreed KPIs. Contract services from vendors and platform owners, as needed. Software license and agreements management.
  • Managing major/critical incidents and disaster recovery in IT. Bring in automation and innovation as process improvements.
  • System audits with end responsibility for making sure the system follows compliance policy & guidelines. Participate in annual Periodic reviews (user review report, configuration review report, IT periodic system evaluation).
  • Knowledge of budgeting and validation activities will be an added advantage.
Qualifications
  • Master\'s/Bachelor\'s degree or similar graduate degree in relevant field (Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent).
  • 7+ years of experience with IT.
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working with System Management.
  • Have practical knowledge in using Agile methodologies.
  • A basic knowledge of cloud concepts will be an added benefit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Should hold global mind set, cross-cultural understanding, ability to operate and achieve results in a virtual and international IT operation along with strong stakeholder management.

In DD (Digital, Data) &IT Development Clinical Site & Patient Facing Solutions, a part of Global IT GBS, a portfolio of GxP, financial & business critical applications is being managed and supported. These applications are among the most critical IT systems in Novo Nordisk supporting essential processes and being used 24x7 by thousands of users worldwide. DD&IT Development Clinical Site & Patient Facing Solutions works closely with line of Business, System managers, Quality Check (QC)/Quality Assurance (QA) and subject matter experts across the Novo Nordisk IT organization in Denmark and India.
