We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of System Administartor

In this role, you will:

• The delivery of high quality GB/GF driven IT projects, meeting their needs and demonstrating the added value of service provided, whilst ensuring that all delivery is in line with agreed global standards.
• To support and maintain full functionality of equipment and applications provided.
• To meet quality targets as assigned by IT Operations Management for Change, Service Levels and Problem Resolution times.
• Identify and improve efficiency and potential improvements of the network environment.
• Communicating effectively with key business users regarding requirements.
• Participate in the testing/piloting of new services/hardware.
• This role requires work outside of "business hours" and at weekends in order to undertake change activity.
• Consolidate and reduce infrastructure complexity.
• Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to design, deliver and operate Telecommunications business services that utilise appropriate infrastructure technology solutions such that they are efficient, cost optimal and highly resilient.
• Ensure Service Quality Targets are met for offered Telecommunication services
• Business stakeholder management to define product roadmaps and market available capabilities.
• Understand a DevOps Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipeline, and build automated test scripts (for infrastructure products and upgrades), and build automation interfaces between systems.

Key Accountabilities:

• CISCO - Sound knowledge of routing and switching concepts and work experince in a large Data Center environment.
• Network Security - working knowledge of large scale firewalls, policy format and amendments. Understand standard NAT policy and policy download process.
• Load Balancers - working knowledge of F5 LTMs and GTMs in large scale environment.
• Understanding of DNS functionality.
• General understanding of Proxy technologies with exposure to Blue Coat/Zscaler platforms.
• Troubleshooting - ability to identify network issues based on variety of tools / methods - packet captures, specific devices (Firewalls, LTM/GTMs, Proxies and Routing/Switching) connection logging.
• Troubleshooting and vendor management in case of error in the environment and functionality.
• Ability to work through strict processes and compliance.
• Maintain critical timescales for delivery.
• Work as part of a team and be self-motivated.
• Create documentation and Network diagrams for the team which is helpful to do the job.
• Work on incident & problem management, permanent issue fix and production support.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Strong experience with the following technologies:
• Routing and Switching: Cisco
• Load Balancer: F5 LTM and GTMs.
• Perimeter Security: Check Point Firewalls.
• Domain Name Systems.
• Experience working within large-scale enterprise IT environment.
• Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills.
• Strong networking and collaboration skills.
• Strong communication skills across organisation levels.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and conceptual skills.
• After hours support during delivery.
• General understanding of Network proxies like Blue Coat and/or Zscaler
• Experience or Understanding of ACI Fabrics

Additional Skills:

• Experience working with DevOps tools e.g. GitHub, Jira, Confluence.
• Strong technical background preferred and/or experience to equivalent level.
• Quality awareness and a strong understanding of services.
• Experience working with automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, CI/CD.
• Good understanding on external Cloud Provider (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure).
