Summary

Responsible for managing and delivering all aspects of the Supplier Quality Assurance function. Work in a team environment with suppliers to develop and implement best practices that emphasise defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste for continuous improvements. Collect root cause analysis and provide corrective feedback to prevent line stops due to supply issues. Manage the customer specific requirements and offer technical support to suppliers. Responsible for ensuring that the products produced meet quality standards maximize customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to. Maintain the robustness of product builds following new product introductions to ensure continuity and improvement in supplier capability. Manage the customer specific requirements and offer technical support. Work on multiple phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of high complexity, with results impacting on project completion. Work reviewed at project milestones and/or on completion by Senior Management.

• Auditing suppliers for EHS / QMS / Process / Product & Capacity
• Developing parts with supplier against Print & Spec
• Qualifying Parts with all applicable standards for the specific parts
• Rating the supplier with all parameters applicable (Quality / Delivery / Response / Timely closure / Technology update / infrastructure / continuous improvement)
• Monitoring the supplier performance
• Driving COF / COFR
• NC Management
• Analyze problems, identify root cause and provide efficient solutions
• Daily / Weekly / monthly / yearly data to be maintained for all metrics
• Coordinating with all cross functional teams for Development / Quality / Technical etc..
• Travelling to supplier places anytime on need basis
• Driving the supplier to follow the standard works for all the processes
• ECN Management / Revision Cut-in
• Work with 3rd party labs for Type tests with applicable standards
• To develop and qualify all electrical and electronic commodities like MV Transformer / Laminates / Capacitor / Aux Transformers / Filter resistor / AC Breaker / DC Breaker / Reactors / IGBT / CT / Heaters / Fuse / Fan / RMU / HVAC / Coolers / Converters / PCB boards / Harness / Terminals /power supply / Busbars / sensors / LOTO switches /
• Guide and validate the process like Core building / Coiling / Termination requirement / fuse rating selection / testing required for each electrical commodity / VPI process / Pressure & Temperature proportionating / Pressure & temp gauge readings validation/
• Review the Engineering drawings and Specifications to perform the development.
• Process improvement, productivity improvement & yield improvement at supplier place
• Communicating the validated information to stake holders at right time.
• Presenting the Metrics / COF / RCA to Global team
• SDR management.
• Fleet issues management.
• May required to travel 40 to 50%

Qualification: B.Tech / BE in Electrical and Electronics with 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality department. Desired Characteristics:

• Strong Organizational and MS Office skills.
• The candidate shall be highly energetic and passionate with positive attitude. He shall be able to learn quickly.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of lean six sigma methodology,
• Certified internal auditor (QMS).
