Job Description

:

Brief Job Purpose Maintenance supervision of Cryogenic Plant equipments,reciprocating & centrifugal compressors, turbines and pumps.Preparation of manitenance matrix for daily PM job of equipment and standby equipment. Maintain equipment maintenance history. Spares management and storage. Annual and capital shutdown maintenance planning and field manpower management. Coordination between Operation team & mechanical team for the equipment isolation, safety permit, maintenance and trial run. Equipment failure analysis and maintain MTTR & MTBF.

7) Knowledge of SMPs,SOP's & Safe working instructions during maintenance.
8)Involvement on Kaizen and small group activities
2 Equipment Knowledge 1) Maintenance knowledge of Compressors, DCA, Precooling, PPU, blowers, centrifugal pumps, gear pumps, cryogenic turbines & pumps.
3 Technical Skills 1) Ability to work on the critical equipments of the plant.
2)Ability to take up the PM jobs as planned
3)Ability to identify the tools and tackles required for the different equipments.
4) Take up the overhauling job of the identified equipment.
5) knowledge of Material of construction(MOC) and selection for materials.
7) Ability to interptret and understand mechanical drawing for maintenance.
8) Knowledge on equipment maintenance time of all equipments in the plant
9) Ability to understand the reason of failure of the machine and its parts .
11) Knowledge of Centrifugal machines Allignment tools and its working principle.
12) Knowledge of pipes used in cryogenic services, pipe standards and pressure vessel standards
1) PM Job Planning: Daily PM Job plan and do maintenance in coordination with Operation.
2) Indenting & procurement : Able to identify and inform the Engineer for arrangement and procurement
4 Planning & Management Skills
4) Job distribution:Able to deliver the right kind of jobs to Technicians to maximuze the out put
5) Quality of Job: Ability to do Quality Maintenance job.
6) Material Management:
3) Maintaining required level of stock of spares for critical equipments and intimate supervisor for their procurement.

4) Able to keep the storage of materials at different places with their identification mark.
5 Troubleshooting 1) Knowledge of monitoring the Physical condition of the equipment, temperature reading, pressure reading & vibration analysis.
3) Ability to assist engineer to analyze the problem and identify the most probable cause of equipment failure.
4) Ability to provide best solution based on previsios experience on same equipment and carrying out successful repair (Zero Job repetation)
6 Knowledge of Quality Controls & Quality Management Systems 1) Knowledge on measurement technique of key parameters like bearing clearance, bull gear and pinion shaft backlashand labyrinth clearance as per Orignal Equipment Manufacturer(OEM) recommendations
2)Knowledge of pipes and plate welding
7 Konowledge of Hazards 1) Handling cryogenic liquids like liquid oxygen & nitrogen
