Job Description


Responsibilities/Duties: Manages and coordinates the efforts of the staff, with 0-10 direct reports providing oversight regarding study activity and study communication to all appropriate departments. Performs general supervisory duties including full range of recruitment and performance evaluation activities, salary administration, staffing decisions, and executes Affirmative Action goals in the department Responsible for the technical staff adhering to deadlines in compliance with appropriate SOPs, GLPs and regulatory agency guidelines. Responsible for the formulation, development and implementation of plans, policies and procedures within department guidelines to improve the work quality, efficiency and productivity. Manages the planning, scheduling, and organizing of necessary resources for study conduct and assignments. Assures data collection, technical proficiency and training of staff. Implements department policies to maintain facilities and equipment. Manages and coordinates the development of standard language for reports and protocols. Identifies, assesses, and implements new technology and automation to reduce errors and/or improve productivity. People Responsibilities: Ensures adequate communication among group members and department personnel Assists in preparing metrics/data for the group, serving as back up to India Site lead. Collaborates with management staff as well as other departments regarding study process activities. Collaborates with training staff to develop training plans and ensures sufficient training for staff. Meets with clients as necessary to establish/clarify needs and to resolve issues. Participates in the planning, marketing and project activities for assigned group. Maintains client contacts and establishes new contacts for specific service or market segments. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor II. Experience: Minimum Required: 7+ years of relevant experience, CRO experience preferred. Previous supervisory experience. Strong customer service skills, experience in metrics/dashboards and governance. Demonstrated skills and aptitude for teambuilding. Knowledge in planning, negotiation, and process innovation. Experienced in the tools and processes of Six Sigma. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all staff and management levels. Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills. Knowledge of study design and conduct. Advanced knowledge of GLPs and regulatory agency guidelines. Strong English writing and communication skills. Advanced knowledge of computers and programs (e.g., word processing and spreadsheet applications). III. Education/Qualifications/Certifications and Licenses Recommended: Bachelor\'s degree in related discipline.
