Job Description


We’re looking for an insightful market intelligence professional to join the Marketing Operations team in Asia-Pacific and Japan region, supporting the Biosciences Division. Strategic Market Intelligence Analyst will provide market intelligence to internal stakeholders for trend watching, new business opportunity generation and giving a 360-degrees view of customer and business environment. How will you make an impact? The role will utilize various information sources and research techniques to develop an in-depth understanding of market and competitor intelligence as well as customers’ perceptions, behaviors, and preferences across brands, products, and channels. The ideal candidate will be curious by nature and driven to discover impactful insights, delivering thoughtful recommendations through compelling presentations to ultimately influence business decisions and maximize business value. Responsibilities:

  • Buildup market insights, customer and competitor intelligence to inform business areas on market trends, business opportunities and threats across the multiple APJ regions
  • Synthesize and transform both internal/external, primary/secondary/syndicated research data into actionable insights and communicate recommendations across the organization to drive strategic decision making for mid- to long-range business planning.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of market size, growth and share performance at country, region and product level, benchmarking, identifying and monitor key market trends and activities.
  • Led market insights project to identify potential gaps and key growth area, continually improve and monitor the value of insights with actionable outcome.
  • Partner with market development managers to identify key business issues and develops the most appropriate research design, methodology and analytic plan to address business needs.
  • Led the platform set up to continuous monitor competitive marketplace within the segments of interest, communicate regularly for updates.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to define and scope analysis projects and manage communication with external vendor to drive actionable project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other divisional and global market Insights leads and develop a market intelligence community to leverage expertise, knowledge and best practices
Requirements:
  • Highly driven, results-oriented, detail-oriented, self-directed creative and nimble problem solver who uses technical data analytics skills coupled with customer and market research skills and a willingness to do “whatever it takes” to drive business value quickly.
  • Proven track record of consistently producing deliverables that are well-written and contain helpful information, providing solid and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaboration. Proactively collaborates across teams and functions, and works effectively across boundaries and geographies
  • Solid organization, project management, time management, and planning skills.
Qualifications:
  • At least 5+ years of experience in Competitive Intelligence, Market Analysis, Market Insights, or Strategy Consulting.
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience in the design, execution, and analysis of competitive intelligence, competitive strategy and business-to-business market research.
    • Experience in the life science, medical, pharmaceutical field will be advantageous
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Experience in knowledge management and data visualization highly desired.
    • Experience with a statistical or data analysis software desired
