Job Description

Job purpose:


State Coordinator is expected to carry out coordination and administration work with various stake holders in the government department and with the central office of AVA for the implementation of Child Protection Program across the State.




He/she will be responsible for providing technical support to state and district legal enforcement systems including police and prosecutors, act as the essential link between investigating officers and prosecutors and monitor child protection systems (e.g., ensure compensation for rescued children.)




Education:


\xc2\xb7 A post graduate in social work, law, social sciences or related fields from a recognized university




Experience & Exposure:


\xc2\xb7 6 - 10 years of relevant experience of working in development sector in the field of child rights.


\xc2\xb7 3 years min relevant experience in the field of child rights for candidate with M. Phil degree.


\xc2\xb7 Experience and passion for Child rights




(Role Expectations):


The role will entail and not be restricted to the following responsibilities:



\xc2\xb7 Raid and Rescue of Child Laborers

o Ensuring regular identifications and surveys of child labour by the State Team in all the implementing States

o Ensuring activation of DTF and regular meetings are held

o Ensuring rescuing of the identified children in coordination with the concerned departments in all the implementing States

o Registration of FIRs with all the relevant sections

o Ensuring arrest of traffickers and sealing of premises

o All the procedures of post rescue operations such as Production of Children before CWC, recording of Statement under 164, etc are properly followed and implemented.

o Targets for rescue of children are achieved and a constant momentum for the rescue operations in all the Implementing States are maintained.

\xc2\xb7 Follow Up of the rescued children

o Ensuring that every child rescued are followed up for proper integration and rehabilitation in the society

o Keeping a track of the benefits received by the children so that all the available benefits and schemes can be provided or ensured

o Ensuring maintaining of proper details of the rescued children by the State Team for easy follow up through telephonic conversations, home visits, etc

o Ensuring letters are written on a regular basis by the State Team to the concerned departments for providing all the benefits to the rescued children at the earliest

o Ensuring Filing of RTIs by the State Team for ensuring rehabilitation and other relevant activities of the rescued children

\xc2\xb7 Networking:

o With Government/District Administration: for overall improvement of child protection & its strengthening.

o Police: FIR & relevant section

o CWCs : for rehabilitation

o DCPU: for follow up & rehabilitation

o CSO: for follow up, rehabilitation& rescue operation.

\xc2\xb7 Documentation of each child & networking:

\xc2\xa7 Case Stories

\xc2\xa7 Meetings Minutes & Process documents

\xc2\xa7 Rehabilitation card/ document of each child

\xc2\xa7 Follow up report from of each child.

\xc2\xa7 Any other important document
