You will be working as Senior Test Engineer at global grade 13 and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for contributing significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product and/or solution development as well as associated IP by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions. Using unique technical knowledge to oversee development tasks. Acting as the first line contact in R&D/SW development/Product engineering for the specific product related issues and maintenanceYour responsibilities Having experience in Industrial Automation Domain needed (800xA, Freelance Symphony or any third party DCS/SCADA knowledge will be preferred) with knowledge of electrical devices and interfacing with controllers using different connects e.g. OPCUA/IEC61850 preferred Understating the features, developing test cases and test execution for web/desktop products in PAEN digital and work with product and project managers to understand scope, features and estimates Testing and Automation effort for new projects Planning testing activities with local and remote teams along with the test lead, collaborate with development teams provide inputs in product meetings to create high quality products within the defined schedules and budgets Having experience in manual testing as well automation testing using relevant tools and managing test cases and test results and bugs in azure devops. Maintaining and continuously improving the test automation coverage and reliability Having proficient or have the capability of becoming proficient at installing and configuring test environments, troubleshooting the software, and staying current with upgrades, updates and patches Programming experience in basics of Linux, Redhat Openshift, python and condition monitoring will be added advantage Aside from project responsibility, the successful candidate will also provide strategic sales, training, and customer/application support Your background B.E / B.Tech with 60% and above Working knowledge of any DCS/PLC/SCADA applications will be an added advantage. Minimum 5+ years of Experience in Integration test planning, execution and test automation, API & non-functional testing, agile development environment, TFS & microsoft testing tools (MTM, Test controller, Test Agents) Experience of working with virtual environments (Vmware / Hyperview / Azure) ability to understand new features / use cases and developing test cases Having experience in C#, PowerShell scripts, willingness to learn and adapt new technologies, excellent troubleshooting skills will be added advantage Should have experience in interfacing FTP, TCP/IP, OPC-UA/DA More about us ABB Energy Industries is enabling safe, smart and sustainable projects and operations for businesses across the oil, gas, chemicals, life sciences, power generation and water sectors.
