About the job

We\'re looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to work with cross-functional stakeholders and our internal engineering teams to continually improve Uber\'s Identity & Access Management (IAM) platform.

IAM is one of Uber\'s most important assets. Our team uses pioneering technology coupled with Uber\'s own world-class infrastructure and services to create & maintain tools. Our internal products help Uber with user Access life cycle management, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Access Management (PAM) / Secrets management, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and Identity Governance (User Access Review). The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker who is able to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders and partners in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, resolve roadblocks independently, and drive progress to reduce overall IAM risks across Uber. We are looking for someone who is passionate about understanding challenges from the bottom-up and drives clarity through collaborative execution across multiple stakeholders. This role is perfect for a candidate comfortable with continuously learning and moving quickly while creating processes that accelerate engineering development rather than impeding it.

What the Candidate Will do

\\* Lead sophisticated and large scale cross-team, cross-functional initiatives which includes user Access life cycle management, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Access Management (PAM) / Secrets management, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and Identity Governance (User Access Review). Collaborate with engineering managers and engineers to estimate work efforts, define achievements and handle resources. Track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate and mitigate security risks and communicate status to upper management and project partners. Engage and energize the project teams to achieve ambitious goals.

\\* Proactively remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress. Identify communication gaps, handle issue partner concerns and provide support to teams balancing daring priorities.

\\* Understand technical implementation at the architecture level and propose technical alternatives when vital. Ask questions that clarify priorities and push the team to be highly effective. Develop broad IAM domain and technical knowledge.

\\* Help leads the cross-functional planning and business planning process, leading conversations with key partners to develop concepts for critical security initiatives, and developing those into detailed program/project plans (including IAM roadmaps, funding planning, resource planning, and hiring goals).

\\* Identify and implement continuous security improvements to the security engineering organization and the program management process. Share program/project process frameworks, tools, and standard methodologies that can be adopted throughout the organization. Improve product development and delivery. Mentor project management skills within our engineering leadership team

What You\'ll need:

\\* Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, related quantitative subject area, or equivalent practical experience

\\* 10+ years of experience in Technical program management or product management

\\* Customer empathy - You deeply understand and care about the user experience

Bonus

\\* Experience in SailPoint, SSO (any), MFA (any), or Secrets Management Systems

\\* Deep understanding of various Security technologies.

Must Have

\\* Good knowledge of Jira, dashboarding tools Tableau / Google studio, G-suite apps - Powerpoint and Excel skills

\\* Expert with Agile methodologies and running Scrum.

\\* Able to lead and execute Sprint planning, grooming, and retro for the team.
