THE TEAM Our Business Technology (BT) team is Zuora\'s internal engineering organization, responsible for creating technology experiences that connect our teams, drive business alignment and build a stronger, more collaborative work \'place.\' With a cloud-first approach, we empower our global ZEOs with increased productivity and self-service to enable company growth, scale and flexibility while hardening our security and compliance posture. YOUR MISSION: Build, improve, manage, automate, and support the our global enterprise to provide secure, scalable infrastructure and tools THE OPPORTUNITY (AKA: Why you want this role over any other out there) This role will be responsible for the management of all Zuora\'s corporate systems and AWS services across 16+ locations in 11 countries as well as the buildout of new sites and regions. Responsibilities will include but not limited to data center systems deployment, systems management, AWS architecture, automation, ongoing monitoring and support of all data centers and AWS related systems. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will also be responsible for uptime of company websites and implementing a strategic vision for future growth. OUR TECH STACK: Jira, Confluence, Rest API, Microservices, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Github, EKS WHAT YOU\'LL ACHIEVE Drive best practices in Jira Workflows, Dashboards, Security, and Disaster Recovery Work with Development and Operations teams to define and implement IaaS and PaaS strategies Implement Secure Cloud Networking policies, best practices, and design patterns Create and deliver detailed technical documentation and presentations Act as an advisor to engineering teams on architectural principles, best practices, and design patterns. Provide operational requirement stories to development teams. Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and respond to operational incidents and escalations. Provide hands-on and technical leadership support to drive Cloud Strategy and Operations Direct long and short-term projects for improving the reliability and performance of systems Design, implement, test, and manage Cloud Backup strategy and systems Design, implement and manage monitoring systems and development of monitoring standards Make recommendations for improvements to current processes and procedures Manage cost and billing for Cloud and SaaS Platforms Cultivate a culture of software-defined infrastructure, automation, best practices, metrics, and consistency across the organization WHAT YOU\'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL 2+ years of Linux Systems Engineering/Architecture experience 3+ years of experience operating the Atlassian Suite of products at the admin/system admin level. 2+ years of architecture experience in Jira, Service Desk, and Confluence supporting complex multi-organization enterprise environments. 1+ years of experience with Atlassian Cloud architecture and administration. Experience documenting and providing training on new procedures, workflows and services Experience and knowledge of Atlassian Cloud best practices required. Four-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Information Systems or equivalent work experience. Proven, expert-level experience working with highly-distributed systems, scalability, and SaaS applications with a proven ability to speak authoritatively about architectural, design, and implementation details Proven ability to script using languages like Powershell, Bash, or Python Understanding of systems hardening and secure systems configuration Experience with AWS Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS preferred Understanding of security concepts such as Firewalls, IPS, IDS, VPN, and MFA Ability to map multiple month projects into individual tasks or stories for individual or team work Confidence to articulate a vision to executives and stakeholders Experience with regulatory compliance standards (SOX/PCI/SEC/FINRA, etc.) preferred Knowledgeable of operational practices including DevOps and agile Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, firewall, load-balancing, etc.) In-depth knowledge of DHCP, DNS, SSH, HTTPS, SNMP, SMTP, Syslog, and TCP/IP (IPv4 and IPV6) Help develop strategies for zero-downtime deployments and patching. Develop and advocate for Operations best practices, standards, and processes Work with teams to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement in the deployment and build processes.
