Coupa Software is a high-growth SaaS company and market leader in the BSM (Business Spend Management) space. We are in a major growth phase and wish to expand our Cloud Service Management team to support our leading cloud platform.

We are seeking a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer with a strong Cost Engineering background. This position is supported by the Director, Cloud Service Management. You will form part of a global team spread across 3 our primary centers in APAC, EMEA and the US.

Joining the team as a Sr. SRE will provide you the opportunity to make a large impact and advance your career considerably. Your primary focus will be in developing and optimizing cost engineering solutions in a massive-scale public cloud environment. You will have a strong sense of service ownership and personal accountability, and a definite bias for action.

You will be supported through in-house training and certification on our Coupa University platform and through subscriptions with leading learning partners.

As a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer you will:

• Bring an automation-first and software engineering approach to deploying and managing infrastructure as code
• Partner with SRE, Cloud Engineering, Performance and Product teams to develop solutions to monitor and optimize usage and cost for all cloud resources
• Drive cloud governance and cost optimization initiatives using cloud-native and third party tooling, such as Reserved Instance and Savings Plan management, instance right-sizing, resource tagging
• Be responsible for other cost-focussed activities and reviews in partnership with engineering teams and industry partners
• Develop business reporting tools and KPI dashboards as required

We’re looking for a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer who:

• Has a relevant qualification in Computer Science, Engineering or similar and 6+ years of professional experience
• Has a passion for excellence, is an analytical problem solver, and a critical thinker. You should enjoy digging deep to understand issues and like solving hard problems taking a data-driven approach
• Is highly experienced in cloud computing (AWS or Azure) and systems engineering (Linux) in a similar global SaaS organization
• Is an expert developer with experience in at least one of the following - Python, Ruby, Java
• Is familiar with configuration management tools such as Chef or Puppet, and has worked with orchestration tools such as Workato, Rundeck or similar

It would also be great (but not essential) for you to have:

• Experience with Application Performance Monitoring tools such as NewRelic, DynaTrace, or AppDynamics
• Familiarity with observability tools like InfluxDB, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, New Relic, Datadog
• Container technologies such as ECS, Kubernetes
• Advanced Excel skills as well as data visualization/BI tools such as Tableau or Domo
