Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Developer in the Network Automation Group, using your deep expertise in data networking, routing protocols and software development experience, you will design and implement the software module for config generation for the next gen data center networks based on EVPN-VxLAN. You will work with cross functional service teams such as VPC, Cloud Object Storage to understand their network flows and implement the required network constructs. You will also manage the CI/CD pipelines for your module. You will need to mentor junior engineers in the design of their work items or help with triaging any critical issues.

• Draft functional and Design spec.
• Implement the config generation module, along with CI/CD pipeline.
• Draft the unit test plan.
• Implement the provisioning of network devices with the generated config and validates the network state once it's provisioned.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Should have MS or bachelor’s degree with 5 to 8 years of SW Dev experience.
• Understanding and experience with Cloud Technologies, Microservices Arch.
• Strong Python programming experience.
• Should have strong, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to all phases of Software Development life cycle.
• Understanding and experience with RESTful APIs, Kubernetes, Docker & Helm.
• Good understanding of Layer-2/Layer-3 concepts. Good understanding of BGPv4 is desirable.
• Experience with one of the Network Vendor OS (JunOS, EOS, IOS) is a Must.
• Should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Exposure to one or more of the network vendor OS such as Cisco IOS, Arista EOS or Juniper JunOS and their configurations is Must.
• Understanding of Network configuration standard such Netconf is desirable.
