JOB PURPOSE

• Lead the manufacturing activities in the Functional Forms plant;
• Lead multiple major production areas of different, complex extrusion operations like Sheet-or Technical Film extrusion or similar plastic processing operations including site capital projects.
• Ensure safety & Reliability of Functional Forms assets.
• Directs through subordinate supervisors and engineers the achievement of EHS & Compliance, production, quality, Capex projects and employee development deliverables in an effective, timely manner.
• Manufacturing representative at customer visits, or Host of customer plant tours.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure Safety & Compliance for Functional Forms operation adhering site and statutory requirements.
• Provides operations and production leadership for the operations unit
• Facilitates organizational effectiveness through modeling, reinforcing, and coaching teams
• Interacts with the business and site in setting the strategic direction for the operating units including operating parameters and high-level production targets and business rules
• Identifies and communicates operating unit goals and technology plans with respect to health, safety, and environmental concerns, unit operations, and technical opportunities
• Manages units\' technology plans; makes sound and timely business decisions based upon Business Technology and Unit Technology Plans
• Develops and drives implementation of complex capital projects that support and advance Business and Unit improvement initiatives
• Directs personal development and the development of direct reports; sets expectations and coaches team to ensure that they are understood and accomplished
• Is responsible that the team follows work processes (e.g. operational effectiveness, EHS)
• Represent the operational organization towards key customer/accounts with regards to customer complaints and audits; support the commercial team
• Represents plant in regional, global, improvement initiatives, committees, etc.
• Ensures organization development in accordance with technical requirements of new products.
• Lead Plant communication to internal stakeholders as well to external as customers

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

• Technical Education: Minimum Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical / Plastics / Electrical Engineering)
• Six Sigma/ Lean principals as advantage
• Finance basics
• Reporting, Communication and Presentation skills

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 10 years\' experience in Process Manufacturing industry
• Minimum of 5 years\' experience in a Managerial Manufacturing role, leading overall operation.
• Vast and in-depth exposure to plant operations (preferable extrusion or compounding operations)
• Six Sigma trained/certified desirable and Lean Manufacturing experience desirable
• Strong Communication skills in Local Language as well as in English
