Overview: This role is responsible for analytical support of Marketing Transformation effort to better understand how to right size the Advertising & Media (A&M) spend to support PepsiCo\xe2\x80\x99s growth aspirations. The project will aim to unlock 5-15% reinvestment and savings opportunities across PepsiCo Advertising & Media (A&M) spend, while developing a clear and data-driven framework for ensuring marketing spend is at a level that can support the next horizon of revenue growth at an improved margin profile while maintaining Pep+ objectives.
The scope covers Analytics support of Diagnose and Deliver stage of transformation project, including A&M spend cube set up, review and validatation of spend cube through syndication, analyses of A&M spend via benchmarks and standard set of analyses, set up sprint tools. Responsibilities:
Analytics support of 8-14 Marketing transformation projects per year
A&M spend cube set up, ownership of MSA model inputs and outputs
Data collection from multiple data sources, formatting, clearing spend gaps, liaising with A&M Project Manager on misclassified spend. Translate Black Swan taxonomy into industry-based for standardized Diagnose phase outcome
Management of data input and analysis out for A&M spending rightsizing model
Quality checks and on-going changes
Set up sprint tools for Deliver stage of A&M productivity projects
Participate in weekly / daily meetings and reviews; preparation for SteerCo & other internal communication from analytical side; support communication processes with A&M Productivity leaders and Business Partners (project planning, workflow monitoring, quality checks, on-going changes)
Liaise and align with A&M Productivity team to setup and execute ongoing reportings, analytics, (utilizing dashboards, templated decks, and reporting tools); partnering with A&M Productivity expert, A&M Finance BP in mapping BU A&M spend process, initiatives impact, progress vs business case, risks and mitigation plans
Provide preliminary commentary to explain business performance, drivers, and optimization opportunities; leverage business performance explanations from teams around the world to incorporate considerations beyond data into reporting
Provide responses to ad-hoc follow-ups when double-click required with tables/charts/stories using relevant data
Support processes/formatting for output adherence and delivery to agreed scope \xe2\x80\x93 in line with the agreed timelines, aligned templates and content management
Establish safe guards and automate data quality checks, e.g., regular trend-watch of data streams to identify and address potential trend breaks.
Improve existing processes based on feedback loop; leverage global/regional synchronization efforts to drive further streamlining and unification of data sets for future digitalization work; support simplification, standardization and digitalization efforts (in cooperation with global and GBS stakeholders)
Flag and monitor any business risks related to delivering the operational output (facilities, IT resources, recruitment efforts)
Help A&M Productivity vertical leadership develop and finetune internal processes (work-flow mapping, pain-points and bottlenecks management) both related to service delivery and internal center operations
Leading internal capability building effort in A&M Productivity Analysts to enable PepsiCo to drive A&M Productivity projects independently from H2 2023 and developing sustainable solutions for the BU in the long term.
Work with external consultants (McKinsey team) ensuring A&M productivity knowledge transfer to GBS team. Co-shadow 2023 projects codifying learnings for A&M Analytics capability.
A mid-level Insight or Analytics professional with experience in a leading consumer goods company. With atleast 9 years+ experience
Education: Masters in Maths, Statistics, Economics, Sociology, Marketing
Experience in working with large data cubes
Can synthesize multiple, disparate data sources into compelling growth strategies.
Strong collaborator: actively creates and participates in opportunities to co-create solutions across markets; will be willing and able to embrace Responsive Ways of Working
Knowing the Business Cold: Can easily see how insights/research learning can improve businesses impact and frames up reporting efforts and opportunities to inform business decisions
Proven analytics, business analytics, research experience, consumer insights experience or commercial experience in a combination with strong analytical skills
High degree of familiarity with CPG and Food & Beverage industry A&M services providers
Deep understanding of CPG industry business performance outputs and causal measures, their relationships, and how to bring business performance insights to life visually
Experience with Agile development methods, Tableau, Business Objects, D3 open source visualization, SQL, R and SPSS desired
Operational experience from business servicing sector and/or consulting experience would be a plus
