About the Job: This position is a critical role in the identification and prevention of fraudulent activity conducted via SVB\'s online banking channel against SVB clients. Team members are responsible for conducting detailed analytical reviews of potential suspicious activity in a high volume, fast paced environment. The position requires dedication and the ability to conduct research and analysis quickly and efficiently of clients, people or entities through public records, media and internal tools also may include client contact. Daily deadlines must be met to ensure transactions are posted timely without client impact. Partnering with various business partners in operations, IT security, customer service for pro-active emerging trends is also important to help prevent fraud losses. The team will work to recover funds quickly and efficiently when necessary and will be required to partner with clients, internal teams, other banks and law enforcement. Responsible for reviewing alerts, without monetary activity, for SVB online banking access to detect and locate suspicious and/or fraudulent activity prior to transactions being attempted to eliminate fraud losses. Requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work with clients and internal teams quickly and efficiently. Conduct reviews and detailed research for alerts which are indications of malicious software (Malware) or banking trojans on client computers to prevent online banking fraud as a highly effective proactive tool. This requires working closely with IT Security and clients on malware notification. Team members must be able to provide information and technical expertise to clients regarding malware, including the capabilities and steps for proper removal. Team members must work quickly on malware notifications help to ensure fraud is prevented on a daily basis prior to compromise or transactions taking place. This requires excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills. Work to ensure all activity conducted through SVB Out of Band Authentication service is legitimate and not suspicious or fraudulent in nature. Requires research of log in activity, phone number verification and knowledge of valid activity. Also responsible for the preparation and presentation of Suspicious Activity Reports for filing with the Federal Government. Complete audit of team member alerts for quality assurance purposes. Work on task assignments for team and will be assigned supervisory duties at the direction of department manager as needed. Essential Functions Review online banking transactions Review online banking log in activity Review malware notification alerts Review Out of Band authentication processes Work client and or CAS/RA referrals Other analysis or reporting Knowledge This is an individual contributor role responsible for identifying suspicious and/or fraudulent activity, as well as understanding malicious malware and banking trojans. This position is a SR professional level and requires strong execution, communication, multi-tasking, analytical abilities while working in an extremely fast paced environment. This role works closely with the FIU, IT Security, clients, CAS and RA communities and federal law enforcement. The individual must also work independently to drive individual and team deliverables while preventing client and bank fraud losses. Demonstrated expertise of bank products, expertise on regulations, processes and procedures Demonstrated Fraud management expertise and support through every step of improving anti-fraud strategy including analyzing current processes, implementing new processes, and constantly refining and improving the approach to fraud detection and prevention. Demonstrated knowledge of the associated processes, procedures, controls, and documentation associated with Fraud reviews Skills Experience in Fraud, IT Security, criminal justice, correspondent banking and or international financial services Minimum two years in an Fraud related field Prior experience reviewing high risk transactions for potential fraud or suspicious activity. Must also have experience dealign with malware and banking trojans The candidate should be knowledgeable of the laws applicable to money laundering, to include the BSA, The Patriot Act, U.S. Treasury AML guidelines and Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements. The candidate must have strong writing, analytical and communication skills and have very strong multi-tasking capabilities. Should be a self-starter and organized ability to work independently, without supervision in an extremely fast paced environment. Candidate must also be able to adapt and work through consistent change due to fraud and malware trends The candidate must have strong research skills, advanced skill in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and experience with on-line research systems including the Internet.
