Location/Division Specific Information Sr. Business Analyst, based out of our Pune location, plays a key role in Enterprise Account Identification and Segmentation organization providing business continuity for critical business processes, IT systems and IT solutions through project implementations, enhancements, documentation and operational support. How will you make an impact? Being part of an organization that provides analytics driven data solutions for all businesses across Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will be instrumental in helping our business partners and customers with their data and analytics needs. What will you do?.

  • Extensive experience with post-fact data harmonization, for multiple data objects; Customers, suppliers, products, geo information
  • Extensive experience with successful deployment of data harmonization solutions in complex enterprise environment
  • Extensive experience with harmonizing data across 50-100 business systems, with low effort deployment of harmonized data to large number of data environments
  • Extensive experience with translating business goals into sustainable data harmonization solutions, which can keep up with changing market environment
  • Extensive experience with natural business data variability and how to efficiently handle such natural variability
  • Experience with common industry reference tools for business partner identification, like Dun & Bradstreet
  • Strong management skills to prioritize tasks, according to business benefits
  • Ability to work with data in multiple languages
  • Knowledge of behavioral economics and impact of human biases on data creation and interpretation desirable
  • Strong collaborative skills with users at all levels of the enterprise
  • Pre-meditate any risks well in advance and communicate to stakeholders to formulate the plan of action to mitigate any risks.
  • Ability to design, developing and deploying data harmonization solutions and run ongoing proactive communications
  • Ability to quickly develop data object harmonization conceptual designs, followed by long-term roadmap, including setting meaningful business goals and establishing KPIs in support of these goals
  • Solid knowledge of search platforms, machine learning and other big data solutions, to adequately address challenges of varying quality of received data, including emerging technologies
  • Experience with Agile solution development
  • Compliance with company’s Global IT Policies & Procedures
  • Ensure the teams follows the prescribed development processes and approaches
  • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Degree in Computer Science/related subject or equivalent work experience
  • 10 years of related data processing experience with structured and semi-structured data
  • Deep experience with handling high variety, high velocity, high volume and possibly incomplete data
  • Deep skills: search platforms, database, data warehouse, business intelligence, data visualization and master data processing
  • Strong analytical skills, with good awareness of statistics
  • Excellent capability to understand business goals and to translate them into sustainable solutions
  • Solid project management skills, including Agile methodology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts, to explain and champion data harmonization concepts to a broad audience
  • Strong interpersonal and excellent documentation skills are required
  • Strong attention to detail, especially to efficiently “know your data”
  • Strong ability to make timely, optimal decisions
