Job Description

The role is responsible for providing support to the EMEA Distribution Strategy & Planning team within Columbia Threadneedle Investments, an Ameriprise Financial company. In this role, one would be responsible for the production of market and distribution research and the ongoing build out of Columbia Threadneedle?s Distribution insight capabilities. It requires broad collaboration across the business and the presentation of analysis to the senior leadership team (Investments, EMEA Distribution & Operations). The individual may also support the development, articulation, and enablement of Columbia Threadneedle Distribution and firm-wide strategic vision.

Responsibilities

1. Preparation and delivery of regular key market intelligence reporting, including competitor analysis, and acting as a key contact within the business to deliver quality outputs in a timely manner
2. Support a market intelligence capability that aims to service regional Sales professionals with insight that enhances understanding of live market dynamics and trends to win new clients and retain existing business
3. Undertake ad-hoc analysis of the asset management industry: product innovation, local and global market trends, client segments and the competitive landscape (market and regulatory) to support senior leadership decision-making
4. Monitor Columbia Threadneedle sales activity performance to support the ongoing tracking and evaluation of Distribution strategic objectives and individual sales channels progress versus the market
5. Maintenance of data and data system integrity to both extract information and provide insights, including data sourcing, architecture, and systems used to collect data
6. Collaborate with other teams, including Data Science and Client Enablement, to build scalable market intelligence outputs which become part of the everyday toolkit of Sales people

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor?s degree in Finance or any related fields and/or MBA (Finance) and/or pursuing CFA
2. 3 ? 5 years of relevant experience in finance for a global financial services firm
3. Outstanding analytical skills and the ability to manage and interpret large amounts of data
4. Exceptional communication skills (needs to effectively work and stay in touch with global colleagues across different business units)
5. Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
6. Excellent organizational and project management skills to track and manage multiple deliverables with various process steps and deadlines
7. Team player and collaborative, but can also work autonomously, both with a critical focus on ensuring consistent delivery

Preferred Qualifications

1. Asset management experience preferred
2. Basic experience with Excel VBA, SQL Server/Access databases, or any programming language will be preferred
3. Knowledge of external vendor reporting tools such as Morningstar Direct, Broadridge, and eVestment
