Org Unit Name: IR Reporting, Research & Analytics
Location: India-Bangalore
JOB PURPOSE
Lead and manage the Research and Analytics activities. The objective of the department is to be best-in-class in terms of analytical capability and research which will be used in all internal and external reporting. This department should be the center of excellence in terms of analytical capability and be at the same level of expertise as the brokers' sell side research analysts. The department will undertake detailed and focused "sell-side" research with a focus on SABIC business & the other petrochemical companies & peer group. The department will also work closely with other departments in the organization on specific projects as required.
Job Responsibilities

  • Tactical Contribution:
  • Build all the required tools/processes/procedures for this department to become a reference for SABIC's external reporting in terms of analysis and research. This department should be a mirror of the brokers sell/buy side research analysts capability and competencies.
  • Build strong relationship and processes with CPPM, GFR&C, Sustainability, SBUs, Manufacturing, Legal and Corporate Communications
  • Build as per IR procedures channels with analysts and sell side analysts and corporate access in the various global banks and brokers

  • Earnings Call
    • Lead the daily activities in the preparation of all the analysis, fact sheet, financial model and full data book for the earnings call. This will be the basis to feed into SABIC's Earnings call material and the overall strategic messaging. In order to achieve the goal of the earnings call, back office (this department "Research & Analytics) has to be fully prepared. This will include having proper and thourough analysis of the quarterly performance comparing the QoQ and YoY results. The analysis has to be fully aligned with the external/legal reporting but also synchronized with the management reporting. This department should provide the CEO/CFO/IRO all the needed analysis to address analysts & investors questions. It should also serve to provide the IRO with all the required analysis to address analysts/investors meetings during the post call meetings.

  • Independent Financial Model
    • Create an independent financial model for SABIC and it's listed affiliates. The objective is to update the company's performance based on the public disclosures in Tadawul. This will be used as a reference with analysts/investors for discussion. It will also help to bridge the gap in the analysts’ expectations of the company's performance. Also, it will be used to assess the level of required disclosures for the investment community to estimate the company's performance.

  • Investor Day
    • Provide all support to IR leadership in the preparation of all the analysis and full data book for the investor’s day. This will be the basis to feed into SABIC's Investor Day material and the overall strategic messaging. It has to be fully aligned with SABIC's strategy and it's execution. This department should provide the CEO/CFO/EVPs/IRO all the needed analysis to address analysts & investors questions during the day.

  • External Research
  • Provide quarterly reports summarizing analysts’ reports about SABIC, it's listed affiliates, it's peers and the industry
  • Provide feedback to management after every engagement with analysts and investors
  • Build strong relationship with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build required competencies in research and understanding the market/business dynamics, including competitors
  • Partner with SBU market intelligence and provide consistent feedback to SBUs leadership on market dynamics.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS INTERNAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years’ of overall experience with minimum of 5 years Finance experience
  • Experience in Planning & Budgeting, transformation projects and Performance Analysis
  • Extensive knowledge of petrochemical industry and working in global organization / environment
  • Business and manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Expert knowledge of financial planning, capital management and administrative organization
  • Expert knowledge on Management Accountancy
  • Expert analytical capabilities to conduct meaningful analysis and identify business improvement opportunities
  • Ability to taking a strategic and tactical view on business management and proactive responsibility for decision
  • Effective project leadership skill to drive process and productivity improvement initiatives
  • International experience and global mindset
