System Care and Recovery Team [SCaRe]

Position:SystemsSupport Specialist (Sr. Analyst)

This is a System Care and Recovery Engineer position that provides L1.5, 24 x 7, IT Systems supports. Staff assigned to support computer operation staff to perform shift works according to assigned tasks which include resolving Level 1.5 issues with the IT systems in the region, level 1.5 troubleshooting of network-related issue, daily scheduled computer jobs as well as monitoring daily activities and report unusual activities promptly as well as ticket management. Staff working pattern would be 3 days working-3 days week off 3 days working with 12 hours of working per day where in shift would be rotational. Work location will be BCIT, Bengaluru. Working model will be from Office. Should be able to join in 60 days and base location must be Bengaluru. Will be requested to visit BCIT office premises for a Face-to-Face interview.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Timely ticket-logging, escalation, progress updates till incident is resolved.
  • Works closely with the monitoring, Service desk team and L2, L3 resolver groups until resolution.
  • Based on the error and steps mentioned in the Standard Operation Procedure document, should be able to perform the tasks individually and resolve or escalate to SME wherever applicable.
  • Will be an admin with additional access to the IT systems to perform basic steps mentioned as per the procedure documents.
  • Perform system recovery work through established standard procedures.
  • Notify customer in the event of an incident and maintenance activity.
  • Ensure proper submission of reports. Establish standard operating procedures
Competencies Needed:
  • Should have worked in a similar role- Production support environment where having basic L1 knowledge of all the Data center technologies and IT Systems, applications was the need to perform day-to-day duties.
  • Should possess strong L1.5 skills to troubleshoot the IT systems.
  • Basic knowledge of data center technologies and application batch jobs is needed.
  • Should possess L1 knowledge of managing servers and other IT systems remotely.
  • High degree of accuracy and detail orientation. Excellent problem solving, coaching, and written and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership and teamwork skill with collaborative and diligent attitude
  • CCNP, MS Enterprise Administrator, RHEL certifications, O365, Citrix certification on Xendesktop, VCP, CV Professional Cert Any 1 certification will be a good to have. ITIL certification is a must
  • Ticketing tool knowledge needed (GLPI, Service Now)
  • Good to have tools knowledge - vCenter, RVTools, Hitachi Storage Navigator, Comm Vault, Citrix studio, Citrix Director, Azure Active Directory & Binary Tree
  • Knowledge, hands-on in more than 2 technologies will be an added advantage.
Education level:Any undergraduate degree/above or equivalent post graduate diploma in IT related domain.

Experience:

Minimum 5-10 years of relevant working experience within production support / IT administrator. Experience working in a banking environment will be added advantage.
