PRIMARY FUNCTION: 1. State the primary function or overall purpose of your position. The financial analyst will work collaboratively with finance, accounting, business operations and senior management with sites and throughout the EMEA Electrical region as required. The Analyst will oversee and execute processes necessary to plan, record, analyze and report on the financial conditions of the Division. This person will also be significantly involved in the development of senior management presentations including finance, operations, marketing and others as necessary Professional will also support plant & division in routine financial analysis & reporting as required. Assignments will include planned and ad hoc projects This position would be an Individual Contributor. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Limit yourself to 8-12 statements) 2. List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results), which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above. A. Financial Analysis & Reporting for the Electrical Sector (including): Preparation of monthly results and forecast commentary package for the consolidated Division/Plant Support in monthly forecast process Support in preparation of annual profit plan and strategic plan initiatives Analyze Operational metrics for monthly results and forecast Provide Flex, CONC report with detailed analysis Responsible for publishing sales and profit number for Site/Division Prepare meaningful variance analysis and communicate results Preparation of on-going monthly and periodic financial reports Price realization analysis and measurement Product mix, Customer, Market analysis Support and propose various initiatives to reduce complexity, standardize and improve efficiency of financial processes across the EMEA region Promotion of good financial stewardship by helping control costs, driving forecast accuracy, driving balance sheet integrity and ensuring proper controls are in place Coordinate, interpret and respond to ad hoc financial requests within the region Perform additional analyses as assigned. Work in a global team environment directly supporting the EMEA Electrical Region and interacting with various controllers in the business locations. Quality culture - Accuracy, attention to detail, and achieving deadlines are critical for success. DIMENSIONS: 4. Record any measurable statistics which your position impacts such as production expenses, maintenance expenses, sales volumes, payroll costs, capital expenditures, research budgets, cost of purchases, value of inventories controlled, employees supervised (direct and indirect). Adherence to Timelines as per the statutory calendar with proactive planning and execution for the ledgers Utilizing ERP/Oracle to utmost for reporting. Continuous improvements and streamlining of accounting and reporting processes with an aim to reduce time and effort. Analytical bend of mind Shift working 12.30 to 21.30 however needs to stretch beyond the shift based on the requirements SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: 5. Describe any specialized knowledge or skill (e.g., technical, scientific, administrative, managerial), which your position requires. Accounting major (B.Com) & CA/ICWA/CFA/MBA (Finance), preferable. Excellent Analytical skills to interpret Financial data , Written and oral communication skills. Manufacturing industry experience (pre-requisite). Proficiency with MS-Office - particularly Excel, Power Point, Word and other reporting tools Working Knowledge of Business Intelligence Tools - ORACLE, ENCORE, RADAR, DFT etc Experience with Oracle Financials and SAP preferred 8-10 years of FP&A and accounting experience. Adaptable to varying cultures. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 6. Describe all other aspects of your position that you feel are important and which have not been adequately covered (i.e. unique problems encountered, special freedom to take action, critical outside contacts, exceptional working conditions etc.) Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to summarize findings and present solutions. Good interpersonal skills - ability to work with all levels of the organization.
