Job Summary Pune (India) Global Business Center (ABC) Financial Planning & Analysis/Supply Chain Analytics team partners with Avantor leadership teams in driving the Avantor Key Strategic Business Priorities. ABC FP&A/Manufacturing team enables Avantor leadership team in effective decision making by providing timely, accurate and actionable insights globally for all the markets, regions, businesses, and functions.

Senior Analyst \xe2\x80\x93 Manufacturing & Distribution Finance, partners with global leaders both Manufacturing operations & finance in driving various key strategic Manufacturing priorities of Avantor. This position also actively partners with multiple stakeholders including supply chain leadership team on a day-to-day basis to meet the ongoing business requirements.

This position is responsible to act as process champion/Subject Matter Expert of manufacturing finance and enable the Global Supply chain team in effective decision making by providing necessary insights by assessing Past & Current performance of the business and provide necessary support in building plans/forecasts. This position is also expected to partner with supply chain/Manufacturing leadership team in driving various key projects which improves savings opportunities for the organization. This position is responsible to create new reports as per the dynamic business requirements, drive Simplification, standardization of various existing key reports that provides insights on plant performance, validation of cost improvement projects.

This position requires strong business partnering skills with in-depth manufacturing finance/ business acumen, data management, reporting and analysis expertise, influencing and change management skills. The position directly reports to Leadership team at Global Business Center (ABC) Pune and will have matrix alignment with onshore business partners.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)

Business Partnering/Transformation

  • Act as Finance Business Partner for Operations (Manufacturing & Distribution) team, overall responsibility for delivering Financial, Cost and Compliance controls of manufacturing & distribution plants as well as working with the plant & distribution operation team & finance leadership to achieve all KPI\'s of the plant.
  • preparation, consolidation of the MOR (Monthly Operating Review) pack & presentation of all the factory site metrics to the leadership team, Implementation of the proposed action points in the coming months. Factory site metrics include Headcount, Direct and Indirect spend, Productivity savings, under & over absorptions, manufacturing variance etc.
  • Preparation of monthly & quarterly forecast figures (Hours, Absorption cost, Conversion cost, projected headcount requirement to meet the volume.) and submit them to finance leadership team.
  • Supporting the site on preparation, review, and submission of the Annual operating plan.
  • Actively involved in performance review discussions with Operations leadership teams and providing necessary suggestions to the leadership team on the way forward approach
  • Review & forecast of CAPEX requirement for the sites & actual saving realization tracking. Taking necessary action to capitalize the Asset under construction by partnering with project managers & COTA team.
  • Ensuring the right Standard cost is calculate for existing & new product. Reviewing the revaluation impact before releasing the Standard cost.
  • Partner with Inventory leader, demand planner & sourcing leader & putting proper controller in place to optimize inventory & maintain the required inventory reserve.
  • Responsible for month end closing activity by ensuring all the actual cost & accruals are booked correctly.
  • Assisting leadership in driving the key business-specific /global initiatives.
Operational/Functional Excellence
  • Take a lead in establishing Global Standardized Reporting
  • Closely Working with leadership teams in adopting the ABS practices.
  • Collaborate with other team members, identify & implement process simplifications/ improvements. Adopt the best/standard practices across teams.
  • Prepare necessary process documentation of all the deliverables and periodical review of the existing documentation and making necessary changes to ensure the latest business changes are incorporated.
  • Prepare financial analysis for various \xe2\x80\x9cwhat if\xe2\x80\x9d scenarios and sensitivity analysis in analyzing the business impact.
Mentoring
  • Coach and mentor new team members to make them successful in their respective role by assisting them in new transitions, having knowledge sharing sessions etc.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting or finance. CA/ICWAI/CPA/MBA Finance from reputed universities.
  • 6+ years of experience in Finance preferably in FP&A from MNC\xe2\x80\x99s Captive Finance Shared Services Organizations/Global Centers.
  • Minimum 5 Years of experience in Supply Chain Finance specially in manufacturing finance at a global/business unit level.
  • Prior working experience in MNC\xe2\x80\x99s Captive Shared Services Organizations/Global Centers or in Indian reputed Product based manufacturing companies.
  • Prior experience in supply chain analytics for Pharma/ lab supplies industry, chemical research, chemical technology or automobile companies preferred.
  • Six Sigma or Lean training preferred, but not mandatory.
  • A working knowledge of the wide-ranging aspects of the supply chain such as sourcing logistics, product costing, spend analytics, should cost analysis etc.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)
  • Working experience in manufacturing & Warehouse environment is mandatory.
  • Transformation mindset - Open to accept, adopt, absorb the change in way of working, structure and Content.
  • Comfortable working in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders. Ability to work with executives, managers, and stakeholders from various regions/functions.
  • Strong presentation skills and able to sell Avantor capabilities and expertise to suppliers.
  • Ability to organize, conduct projects and to analyze and solve issues at professional levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical skills; demonstrated leadership abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities of the leadership in a highly dynamic & fast paced environment.
  • Strong Analytical and business skills - Ability to crunch big data and effectively provide recommendation to the leadership.
  • Computer Proficiency with strong ERP knowledge preferably SAP, MS Office, Tableau, Alteryx, QlikView, Power BI etc.
  • Strong affinity with LEAN processes and tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills.
  • Independent, self-starter, highly motivated.
