The Role Responsibilities Job Role The Engineer is responsible for managing the log management platform and supporting application onboarding on log consolidation with skill of capacity sizing and configuring the ES clusters and shards and perform changes and maintenance as per business requirements. Strategy Be a mentor to the team, guiding them on career planning and progression, building a highly motivated team. Business Supporting the CPBB OpenShift environment in developing and executing the tenant / client strategies and both in respect of iBanking and SC mobile issues. Processes Articulation of the tenant\'s strategy and an assessment of its clarity and associated execution risks. Development of a current / forward year base OpenShift cluster forecast performance expectation. Evaluation of risks associated with application / tenants onboarding, where required. People and Talent Support CPBB Team tenants and others in the OpenShift Cluster on ad hoc projects, strategic initiatives and exercises aimed at improving or enhancing the team\'s activities. Continually strive to share key relevant knowledge and learnings with others across the team. Provide OpenShift specific coaching to newer or less experienced members of the team. Risk Management Proactive monitoring of key entity or industry wide events and / or developments, as well as of apps and risk triggers where applicable. Acting as a broader point of expertise in respect of cluster aspects with Product and others across SCB. Governance Maintaining integrity in analysis at all times is critical. This includes frequent and iterative discussion with both tenant Coverage and Risk around application analysis. Key Stakeholders CPBB Retail Digital Channels Application team CPBB Retail Digital Channels DevOps CPBB Retail Digital Channels PSS Central cloud engineering team Our Ideal Candidate A demonstrable good level of proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java or C# and a willingness and capability to learn more. 7 years of experience in Systems Engineering / DevOps role on Linux / Unix Systems. Expertise with configuring and running a CI / CD platform such as Jenkins, Rundeck. You should have experience working in an agile software development environment. Experience with infrastructure automation such as Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, etc. Experience with scaling secure infrastructures with no Single Point of Failure. Expertise with a cloud environment such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Experience with microservices architecture orchestrated with Kubernetes. Experience in Terraform will be added advantage but not mandatory. Experience in SRE (Site Reliability Engineering). Experience with Kubernetes and Docker. Experience in Ansible.
